Ya' know this question just hit me... suppose I have a tampon in, can I go pee with it in? Or is my tampon gonna get soaked in pee and I'm gonna have to change it?

Uhh. I just know that it's not healthy. I think that's what causes TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome). I'll go check on that

I would advice you change it, it could lead to bacteria build up.

wtf? you have 2 holes a urethra and .. uh... the vagina opening... you can still pee through your urethra and the chances of you putting the tampon into the urethra is unlikey since its the opening is small....
there fore if you stick the tampon in properly it will have NO contact with your urine |

QUOTE There are no documented cases of infection from urinating while using a tampon. Urine itself is primarily salt water, and, unless there is some sort of problem, it contains no bacteria.
Some women change their tampons: - after peeing; - because of concern with possible odor from urine on the string; - before bowel movements; - whenever they feel discomfort; - before or after showering or bathing; - before or after swimming or engaging in strenuous physical activity; - before sexual intercourse; - when it's full of blood; or, - after six to eight hours of use. It's important that you do what makes you feel comfortable. |

there's nothing wrong with peeing with a tampon.
the tampon is in the vagina you pee from the urethra so it's different |

Sorry luv..not to be mean or flame you but urine is sterile so contains no bacteria. Vaginal secretions contain bacteria and that is why it is even more important for girls to bathe and change sanitaryware and underwear regularly during a period. We've all been around that whiff of 'haddock' or whatever sea dwelling creature you compare it to in your country lololol. But why do girls do that? |
