Alright, let's stay away from who sells more records, who has better looks and all that. THIS IS A RAP BATTLE between nas and kanye west. LYRICALLY. This is tough..idk who to go with..but if they had a battle who would win? In a club, they both grab their mic and turn it on..who'll win?? biggrin.gif

the best kanye west lines:

You gotta love it though somebody still speaks from his soul
And wouldn't change by the change, or the game, or the fame,
When he came, in the game, he made his own name
Now all I need is y'all to pronounce my name
Its Kanye - But some of my plaques - they still say Kayne

Who said her favorite rapper was the late great Francis
W-H-I-T, it's gettin late mami, your screen saver say tweet
So you got to call me, and bring a friend for my friend
His name Kweli (You mean Talib, lyric sticks to your rib)
I mean (That's my favorite CD that I play at my crib)

I drink a boost for breakfast, an intro for dizzert
Somebody ordered pancakes I just sip the sizzurp
That right there could drive a sane man bizzurp
Not to worry the Mr. H says that the izzles back wizzerk

Nas Lines:

It’s been a long time since you came threw to see your sis
You know I love you I’ve been a fan since genesis
Gotta respect you ‘cuz you never tried to smash
Since we met a while back
And your style was mack

I've been f**ked over, left for dead, dissed and fogotten
Luck ran out, they hoped that I'd be gone, stiff and rotten
Y'all just piss on me, shit on me, spit on my grave (uh)
Talk about me, laugh behind my back but in my face
Y'all some "well wishers," friendly actin, envy hidin snakes

To your, power structure, Nas is dangerous
Y'all the antithesis, the opposite
Twitchin shit, all up in your body language
Mean muggin your bitch, cause she leans over
to look closer told you y'all sloppy gangsters sayin
"Nas is this and Nas is that"
Your eyes go front, your eyes go back
Surprised I'm at the same place y'all be at
It's obvious you don't know how I react

Kanye West can directly kick Nas's ass in freestyling

As I've said before, Jason knows nothing about rap. Those are not the best Nas lines, and Kanye West probably can't even freestyle.. he's a good lyricist, but maybe not off the top of the head. Explain to me why he was a producer before he started rapping? He's good with a pen and paper, if you give him time.

Nas vs. Kanye LYRICALLY?? No contest... A better question would be maybe Nas vs. Talib Kweli or if you want, better producer/rapper, Kanye or Havoc?

Last time I checked... Nas wasn't a battle rapper and didn't freestyle...

no lol... i remember during Grammy week, a radio station asked him to freestyle over the How We Do beat... he spit like one bar and said this himself, "OOOOOOH THAT WAS OFF TE TOP LADIES AND GENTLEMAN"... like it was impressive or something, and then busted out his "Breathe In Breathe Out" prewritten verse.

hahahaha it was realyl funny

i can actually imagine him saying that .. like how he'd say it & with his voice .. haha

" busted out w/ his Breath In Breathe Out verse " ..

hah , that reminded me of that one battle w/ Jin on freestyle friday .. when that one Jamaican guy busted out w/ a Jamaican rap after he messed up ..
