It was awful. I'm having a hard time deciding if it was better or worse than Episode 1. The acting blew, the space/lightsaber fights were nothing we hadn't seen before, and the plot completely abandons the idea of cause and effect and logical character development.

You know it's bad when it's quite possible that having Jar Jar Binks be a speaking role might have improved the movie.

While waiting for the movie, a friend of mine bought some fries for $10. We laughed at him because it was a total rip-off. After seeing Episode III, I think my $10.95 would have been better spent on said fries.
*

oh wow, stop making stupid assumptions. not everyone hates jar jar binks and of course he wasn't a tool for improvement. George Lucas can do better than that and I thought the movie was great. You make it sound like lightsaber battles mean everything in the movie. What about the rest of the action? Can you think of lightsaber duels that hasn't been thought of before? About the plots, you need to elaborate because as far as i'm concerned you may not understand the story at all.

yeah, maybe the acting sucked but..........DARTH VADER ROCKS!!!!!! devil.gif

Well. I did enjoy this movie afterall. I was a big fan of the old ones and always will be...and I'd say episode three compares with those rather than the first two (which sucked imo). Bad acting yes, but....George lucas is a terrible screenwriter. The movie itself was entertaining. I thought it was powerful how Anakin became Vadar. The way they ended it wasn't bad at all....

Best scence in the movie: When the mask is lowered onto Vadars burnt face. It closes up on the mask coming down, the mask locks onto the suit, the music cuts out, and you hear him breathing. One of those scenes that gives you chills..

Ahh. Episode II is my favorite Star Wars, but Episode III was just as good. It tied up A LOT of loose ends.

But I cried. [ sob ] I think everyone who has seen it should know why.

Weak. It was really weak.

For starters, the use of CGI was dramatically overdone. It was as if Lucas was trying so hard to make it the best SW that he got carried away. The Washowski Bros were criticized just as badly in the Matrix but at least that use of CGI actually looked good.

The acting... sucked. Everytime there was an intense scene gripped with emotion, it was ruined by poor acting. Palpatine was a horrible actor. He more or less reminded me of a villain in a Disney movie rather than someone hellbent on world domination.

The robots making comical noises and reacting as if they felt pain and emotion was really cheesy and it took away from the movie in so many ways. R2 was probably the only tolerable robot in that movie.

Yoda's backwardss tyle of speaking is annoying as all hell, but thats nothing new.

To all of you Lucasians; he's not taking you to a far and distant galaxy on a spaceship. Convert and become a Washowkiite.

Matrix, sucaks

i thought this movie was quite wonderful. _smile.gif it had a very powerful, romantic core, and if you think about it, anakin only allowed himself to be seduced to the dark side because of his love for Padme. Do you think if Padme's life weren't at risk he would have done the same thing as he did? I don;t think so. The battles were very intense and there was a lot more gore in this movie, with the whole cutting off of limbs, and the aging effect done on Palpetine. I myself couldn't help squirming around in my seat when people got their heads and arms and legs and butts burned off by light sabers. I was growing pretty fond of Anakin wub.gif but then he just HAD to go and turn to the dark side and melt himself into a skeleton. stubborn.gif well the end was very tragic and sad to me, because I always admired Padme because of her beauty and kindness. sad.gif I really do hope they make remakes of the old movies to continue this episode. Well, sorry if my "review" bored ya, but I like giving my opinion.

P.S, I heard there was a rumor that Hayden Christensen (Anakin) and Natalie Portman (Padme) are going out in real life. Read it in Teen People a while back. If its true (which I doubt it is) then that would be sooooo sweet/romantic! throb.gif

That was a GOOD movie.

I really enjoyed it.

I didn't like the part when Hayden had both legs, and an arm cut off though. And especially when he caught on fire. Yucky. [x

It was a good movie, but you can't compare ROTS to the original trilogy. The only thing bad about ROTS was the acting and as BrandonSaunders said the CGI was overdone.

Computer Generated Image. Mostly everything from the scenes and some of the creatures for example: yoda in episode II and III, jar jar binks, and general grievous in episode III are CGI.

Yeah, the CGI was a bit overdone..

I still have to say I like the newer Star Wars. I felt more satisfied when the movie was over. I can't really explain it. Like, when The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi were over, I was like, "That's it? That's ALL?" I mean, I was waiting forever to see the "Luke, I am your father," scene, and when I did, I wasn't all that impressed. I guess I was kinda mad that Luke got his arm {Or was it just his hand?} chopped off. What's with the Skywalkers and them losing their appendages? o_0

But you guys are right..the acting in the newest three sucked.
