I get my hair pressed like once a month, but after a week it looks like crap!! I have to wear it in a ponytail everyday! What do you[ppl with hair like me] do everyday for school? I cant get it pressed too much. kinda expensive. _dry.gif

i wear my hair up in a ponytail or half a pony tail, or just straight down when im having a good hair day...which is very rare ermm.gif y does it matter what color hair you have?? huh.gif

//edit//

oh now i get it, u mean the black hair "type" right? well don't use too many things that will damage your hair. meaning like using a blow dryer all the time...etc. get a good straightner, and when my hair gets frizzy sometimes i have a herbal essence leave in conditioner spray and some other kinds. i can't think of anything else right now

she didnt mean the color, she meant the type. you know, black.

just try getting your own really good straightening iron and just take care of it everyday. use things for hair that arent damaging but good for it and whatnot.

I think she means the "black" kind of hair. like black as in race, not color.

I have aweful hair too....although I am not black so I dont' ahve the tight curls you have to deal with, I have very frizzy and pouffy hair.

I don't care so much aobut it anymore, I don't even bother straightening it, I jsut stick it up in a high ponytail/bun or put it in braids.

I say don't worry about it, unless you are going to preform or audition or soemthing no one cares what your hair looks like, they're too busy worrying aobut their own happy.gif

"Pressed" refers to when a hot metal (or ceramic) comb is run through the hair in order to straighten it. I like to think of it as a medieval torture device stubborn.gif I got my hair pressed today and my hair hold in heat....God, that was not fun.

But back to the topic at hand: you only get yours pressed once a month?! I press mine once a week (I bought a hot comb from the beauty supply)!

But yeah, if you can't keep a press, you might want to invest in a perm. Ask your hair dresser which one would be good for your hair. Or you could be like me and buy your own comb. It helps to keep it looking somewhat decent until you can get back to the hair salon.

Black hair rocks! If you know what do with it, that it is. Look, just press it , like, once every few weeks cuz its really harmful for your hair to press it all the time. And if you permantly straighten it, well, then you'll always have to wear it straight. BORING! (or atleast it would be for me, I <3 change)
Buy orange sunsilk cream and whenever you wash your hair put some of it and run your hands threw your hair really fast like you're trying to curl it. Voila! you now have natural curls.
I wouldn't recommend straightening yor hair more than one every 3 weeks or something. It really dries the hair.

Oh.....like she said, straighten it...and did you know..there is no such thing as black hair??? It's actually dark dark dark brown!!!! That's why in the sun, it usually turn brown!!!! Black hair is like, hair ashlee simpson, and nobody is hair is naturally like that when they are born...if it is..they are kind of strange..okay..sorry...

well...straighten your hair in the morning, try to avoid the rain, b/c it gets it frizzy!!!

Ashley Simpson's hair isn't really black. THat's dark brown too. I have really light brown hair due to swimming so I dyed it blue black but under the sun it's kinda brownish. I'm totally off topic. Sorry.

I always have my hair up......coz my hair......its crappy...so when I leave it down, it looks so damn horrible!!! >.< I've got thin, wavy hair.......I would'nt mind leaving it down IF my hair wasn't as bad and it would stay straight and not go all funny when I straightened it and blowdried it!! Aggrr!!

The only period of time I leave my hair out is like after I've gotten it cut and it doesn't look that stuffed up yet until like 1-2 weeks later, I can't seem to maintain its shape........and it goes frizzy, and looks like a boof!!!
