I'd have to say yes. Although I'm not saying that quantity beats quality, I'm saying that people who have more posts tend to have more experience. Even though "message board experience" isn't always accurate, I'd say they know the rules like not to double post and stuff like that. And normally, you don't see someone with like 3000 posts talking like, "omg u r so dumb!!111!1 ahhahhahaa" And the mods have a lot of posts too. So yeah. I personally respect people more if they have more posts.

i think " yes " .. but leaning toward a lil of " maybe " ..

most posts = most likely people are gonna be able to know you ..

but , i know what you mean about that double posting thing .. i see it A LOT ..

but depending on tha quality of tha post . that one guy .. umm .. BrandonSaunders .. i think ? .. i think he only has like .. 400 posts .. and i've already gott respect for him ..

Yeah, I think it depends. If I see someone with a low amount of posts, but their posts have something meaningful or helpful then they will get my respect. But if I see them spamming and quadruple posting and they have like no posts I will be mad =]

the reason why people with more posts get mreo respect is because we knwo them better and we know that they know what the rules are. whereas. and newbies piss us off because they are known for being ignorant so they piss us off alot.

i think it depends... if they apologize for triple posting or something (and they don't do it over and over) i'm fine with it. and i usually never check how many posts someone has anyway

So many people have repeated that it's about quality, not quantity, but it's not even so much quality as it is presence. You want to be respected? You need to act like you deserve it before people give it to you.

Erm, maybe a bit. But you know, I treat members all the same. I don't like it much when people treat newbies different; they're new to the site. They need to learn. pinch.gif

i think that the more you post, the more the other people will get to know you and respect you. when your a new person, they don't know you or how you act & reply to things..

huh.gif but i do feel bad for the new people that post & get bashed for accidently double posting because their new & don't know how things work.

EVERYBODY HAS TO LEARN SOMEHOW

DAMN

"newbies piss u off"

WTF DO YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING TO XPERIENCED MEMBERS WHEN YOU FIRST JOINED? YOU CAN'T HATE ON SOMEONE FOR BEING NEW TO SOMETHING. I BET IF YOU  TRIED FIGURE SKATING FOR THE FIRST TIME YOU WOULDN'T BE THAT GOOD AT IT..AND YOU WOULD PISS SOME PEOPLE OFF W/ YOUR "IGNORANCE" . WHEN YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DO SOMETHING..YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DO SOMETHING!

Sheesh. Don't have a cow. No need to be rude about it.

That is true. I do feel bad as well, but it's their fault for not reading the rules. The first thing you should do when you're new here is to read te rules first. Don't you do that when learning something new, whether it is for math or building something (in that case it would be instructions, but same thing)?

Hehe... once I double-posted when I first started and then someone told me to use the "Edit" button and all day I was wondering where the heck it was. When I finally saw it, I was like: "o_o. DAMN."

As you accumulate more posts, you gain more respect from teh members. If you're a newbie that double posts, no one knows... you could've signed up strictly for spamming. So as you become more well known through your posts, you gain a certain reputation (whether it be good or bad).

i agree with nicole. then again, if all your posts are spam, no matter how many posts you have, people will still yell at you.

I think if you have legitimate posts and everything and alot of them youget not exactly more respect, but more people pay attention.

If you have lots of posts but they are stupid or you're rude or whatever then I think people just get annoyed.

I don't know how everyone else feels, but ^that's how I do it.

I think..the more pictures you post..and the more you say about yourself..the more respect you get..

It's not neccassarily the post count. If people don't know you and you have like 2039820398203982039 posts..it doesn't really matter..
