hey guys, i have another question lol. its for photoshop 7 AND psp9 i want to to the blur effect like in my sig, no i didnt make it. how do i do this? i have tried but i haven't been successful, thanks in advance.

O.o i dont see any blur effect in ur sig..lol..but to blur go to filter..then blur..and theres a bunch of effects there..but this is for ps iono about psp =\

you don't see the bluish blur after the black in my text? i want to do that. when i do blur as you tell me it blurs the whole image.

In photoshop, go to the blending options (the button with the little f) and click on outer glow and choose your settings. There are other ways to do it, but this is the easiest.

Click the little "f" on the layer you want to put it on. Click outer glow and choose your settings such as color and the thickness of the glow.

ohh thats what you meant by blur..sry heh..i think thats called glowing text like maybe here for psp. is that it?

oh yay..this is so cool...i just accidentally stumbled on this when i was bombarded w/ a photoshop ad popup..
first
type the text...then duplicate the layer (ctrl+j)..then change the color on the lower layer to a brighter color(so itll make it glowy later) and rasterize the bottom type layer then apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian with a radius of about 3-8 pixels (depends on you type/font size). it would look like this
i havent tried it out yet...but it looks pretty cool..and similar to what u were talking about..see ..who said popups are bad..heh

it is glowing text! thanks you so much. everyone kept telling me it was blur and when i did it, it looked nothing like it. thank you!!
