Ever see middle school punks cussing and using curse words? See them trying to have a bf/gf? Hmmm, it's funny. Roaming around these forums, i see kids at the age of 12?? cussing and cursing like no tomorrow. 12 year olds have gf/bf and are asking for relationship tips. Sorry folks, but this gets to me. When i think of a 12 year old, i think about an innocent middle schooler with the sweetest smile, but seeing what i have been lately, changes my perspective. Just a Thought, i may be wrong and biased.

I am a 13 yr old...but i was like 12 couple a days ago and i think it all depends on the kid's personality....i dont know what you people think of me....yeh i post topics bout a guy i like...but its not like im thinking about a future with him...ahah i know most kids do and it makes me laugh biggrin.gif ....but yes there are kids my age that are mature ... maybe the reason that im like this because ive been through a lot of stuff throughout my life that is just messed up....bu tive been strong and maybe that made me mature but i dont know...im not even sure if im msture..but its not like im like this all the time...i have my crazy side when if i get bored i will randomly go crazy like the other day i was sitting next to my sisters and we were coming back from the mall and it was all quiet and i was very bored so i randomly started roaring and i bit my sister's shirt on the shoulder part and then it wasnt so boring.....hold on how does this realte to this topic...o k i ll stop now

Personally I think its down right patronising for 16 years olds etc. to say that 12 year olds are kids and tehy shouldn't be having sex, smoking, and so on. I remember being 12 and I was just about as mature as I am now. I agree with AngelTears, noone enjoys being 12, waiting to be alowed to do anything. I had my first cigarette, kiss and cuddle at 11, my first drunken experience at 12, and etc. etc.
'Kids' are about as mature as us, and if anyone thinks that they are better than them just because they are a few years older, then that's called just being a prick.

Thank you! ^^

QUOTE(Arimalka)
I hate this. I really do. I hate being stereotyped because of my age, and I'm sure a lot of other people do, too. The fact is that you, who is supposedly "older and wiser", was once twelve and thirteen. You should know how it feels, especially in today's world. It's an age where kids feel pressured to "grow up" as fast as possible, though they don't really understand what that entails. Acting "mature" isn't about having a "boyfriend/girlfriend" or cursing at least twice in every sentence. It's about making the right choices in life and molding your true character. Most "tweens" haven't yet realized this, though, but they'll pull through well enough. And it's the guidance of older teens and parents that will help them get through this awkward time, not stereotypical criticism.

usually, it's not just a question of maturity, but also who the person thinks he or she is. or maybe that's the same thing, but some people just try too hard to be a personality.

hormones are going mad right now.

omg.. i know what you mean about the bf/gf thing. there's this one girl who asked my brother out the first week of middle school. then i read one of those survey things she put on her xanga and there was there was the question "first bf/gf?" and i saw my brother's name right there.

the 7th graders think TYpIn` lyKE thIS is SOoo coOl `N gaNSteR. they bold, italicize, and/or underline almost every other word.

and it's not only middle schoolers. most little girls in commercials act like a bunch stuck up b*tches, wearing the latest fads. barbie has become EXTRA slutty.

heh... i'm done ranting x]

but the dating, I gotcha on.
i've never asked anyone out before, they always ask ME out,
and i always say "yeah, sure, whatever" so that's how i have a bf.
not like I want one. but.. it's also called "hormones" :P

Little kids should burn.

BURN CHILDREN! BURNN!!

I'm kidding. Yes, but it's so amusing to watch, not all of them, some of them are fine the way they are. But the ones that are really, really obvious about it...well...It's like watching monkeys acting up like humans.

*sigh* I hate dumb adolescents...Everytime I see a kid like that I just sigh and be and say to myself..."And this is our future? We are so dead! I might as well pack my stuff and get ready for Armageddon." It's sad that kids in general can't find anything constructive to do or fit in, so they have to be like grown ups to be cool and stuff. How sad. For all you adolescents out there reading this...DON'T GROW UP TOO FAST!!!BE A KID FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN!!! Besides, being too grown before you're grown can lead to trouble. How about that place for today:

When I see 6th graders walking around and cussing I tell them "Hey. You shouldn't be talking like that young man/lady! Your too young for that!" They just stare at me. But it does bug me.

I'm 12, and I don't do stuff like that. People are like that at school, and they are so annoying.

Exactly. About the blow-job story: If people were to believe that, then that just shows pure naivete coming from both sides.

Poser my ass.
We are all not posers. You may now be our age at this time of year, but were at another time, and things are different. Stuff have advanced. So have the kids, in the way we speak, the way we act, and the way we date or whatever.

Yes, it's true that i'm 16. It's only a few years difference. However, i can't imagine 10 year old having sex, doing drugs, in shoot-outs. It's just getting too crazy! We must teach our children how to have a childhood. Do you want to remember your childhood as being a pimp star player doing girls 24/7 and shooting up other 10 year olds? Why does society corrupt our children like this? I don't know.. It's not the fault of the child, but the fault of society influencing people all over the country.

You're no longer considered a child when you're atleast 13.
