actually, i enjoyed if u c jordan (even if it was an annoying shitty song) because it completely reminded me of my then-friend jordan. my friend played it for me one morning, and i objected until i heard the lyrics and then i get the point, and now it makes me happy because its just so apt

I used to be quite the fan, back in 2001 up until mid-2003. Just grew out of them. Not sure but I used to run a fansite, soco-online.com. Not affiliated with soco-online.net, a kid who decided to use the same name.

anyway, I haven't even listened to their latest cd, I don't care to either.

Songs I used to love:
Cavanaugh Park
Ben Franklin's Kite
Wait

I haaaaaaaaaaaate that song with such a passion.

I think the reason is due to when I used to work for Hot Topic (well, Torrid, but Hot Topic is the actual company) I'd go to Hot Topic on my break to chill with co-workers there, and the Asst. Mgr at the time, Carolyn, would shout/sing "iF U C jordan." At first it's like, hey cool! After awhile it just got excruciatingly annoying. That and the numerous amount of teenyboppers that asked me if I changed my name to be Jordan because of that song.

Yeah, that's something I'd do; Change my name after a horrible excuse of a single.

Yeah, it was a single.

Their singles thus far (from Leaving Through The Window, pre-north) were:

if you c jordan, punk rock princess, forget december, i woke up in a car..

and that's about as far as i can remember.

soco-online.net, or beyondthefandom.com might have more information.

my goodness. is jordan really that bad?

also, she doesnt have red hair.

and those lyrics are not good. the word masturbation really fits into very few songs well, and that wasnt one of them

I'm not sure about them being a regular on MTV.
I don't think they really ever hit the popularity on it.

Those singles I mentioned were out in 2002.
They're not singles now, nor are they really played now.
Any [official] singles they have out now are from their '03 release, North.

i can listen to konstantine for a very long time. what's even cooler is that it's easy to sound out on the piano :)

but the others, i'm not so sure. some of them are still good and some.. aren't? usually it's the bass that bothers me.

you havent seen her lately. besides her hair being died vaguely red, she is a stupid bitch. personally, i prefer not to be friends with stupid whores who do drugs and act like sluts just to be cool

i never noticed the word masturbation in that song

i knew they were old, because i knew of the new album, as i have several friends who are obsessed with soco, but all i really paid attention to musically then was the radio

too many lols at one time. im going to continue to rant at you anyway, because it makes me feel better. because it really is a stupid thing to do. ciggerettes are just disgusting and pot is illegal for a reason. i dont care if other people do it. but i care if you do it.

anyway, i am mightily unimpressed by this konstantine song everyone is always raving about

That's because Konstantine is an overrated song.

Those who claim "it describes me so perfectly!" or use it as a love song are idiots.

This song is possibly the best/worst "break up,"/"i'm dumping you" to be honest..

Anyway, I think it's because it's such a long song, that's soothing yet irritating, and there are no choruses probably contributes to why this song is on everyones favorite list.

You should really check out anything from their Ready...Break release.
Most of the stuff on their is quite good, aside from konstantine.
It's definitely a lot better then that crappy single, and other songs they put out lately.

No offense, but just simply reading lyricsis not the best way to go about deciding on a band. Granted, lyrics are a major part of it all, but there are other aspects of a band. Then again, sometimes lyrics ruin it. To each their own.

oh i know there are other aspects of a band... but fo me the lyrics are the most important part. if i dont care about what they're singing, i dont wanna listen

FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE REALIZED THAT! I was always thinking "Okay guys, why would you want this to be "your song"?! He is talking about breaking up!!!"

But I still really love it. I can just...relax/let go when I listen to it. And the fact that it doesn't have some annoying/catchy chorus makes me like it even more _smile.gif

i love konstatine.

lovely piano parts; and nicely thought out.

all their songs are quite deep. you have to listen carefully and be knowledgable to know thier meaning. or look them up online.

like Straw Dog.

anyways; i like thier gushy/lovey piano based songs. they're mostly breakup songs, which is nice.
