hey girls, do u have any skills for polishing nails??
someone said u have to polish 3 times in one finger, is that necessary?

It's not something you have to do, but a lot of people do three strokes: one on the left, one on the right, and one in the middle. I don't really have techniques. It took me a long time to where I could paint my nails and make them look decent.

lol this is funny. Heres what you are should do to get the best results. Paint one coat. Dont make it thick. Just one coat. U should wait at least an hour before applying a second coat, so it doesnt crease. If it needs a third coat, wait at least another hour. U shouldnt need more than three coats. Thats for no creasing. For no chipping, apply a top coat. For no nail staining, apply a base coat. There ya go.

i see professional employees do that technique often...

but i guess techniques vary with each person.

I hate painting my nails thats why I always get tips , but yeah I agree with everyone.

I save my time trying to do them and get them professionally done. And when they arent professionally done I usually only use clear nail polish

to wait at least a hour for every step!! oh my god.....

its not necessary, but i do it..like when i paint my nieces', sister's, or mom's nails I usually do one coat of color on all 10 toes or fingers, then i go back and do it over again, then i put a clear coat on..then for french manicures ((my fave)) i usually do the white, then 2 coats of the clear..or the pink-ish tinted one, then the clear..so..like i said..its not necessary, but i do it haha

haha painting nails is easy lol. i should like make a tutorial, jk. anyway. i do a base coat. let dry, um i have this dryer thing, you can get them at walmart. then do your 1st coat.. eh i do middle side side. dry. do a 2nd coat. then top it off with a top coat. simple. my aunt does nails for a living lol, so yeah thats how i know.

No, you don't need to wait an entire hour. Do you still girls who get their nails done at a salon in there for three hours just for a manicure? No. All you need to wait for is like 2 minutes.

eh i mess up mine all da time and since im in elementary school we hardly paint them except for the girly girls who always get in trouble lol... but it doesent take long not 2 minutes but maybe like 20 to 30... i have no technique i just do 2 coats and thats it and it looks fine lol...

i put 2 coats.. thats it. and then i clean around my finger with polish remover and an ear cleaner or w/e

i don't paint my nails, but back in the day when i was in speech class (actually, just a year ago) we had to make random speeches. and this girl made one on painting your nails. it was weird. she said that you shook the bottle for a minute, did the three strokes, and then shook your hand for a minute. i was thinking that that would make your nails bumpy since the polish would slide around, but i just thought it was interesting.

well... you can always get the blow dryer.

my friend taught me this tip paint your nails after youve done everything youve needed to do and no one else will see you that day but give yourself enough time for it to dry properly

it doesnt matter how messy it is just as long as you got nail polish on all parts of your nails you can get it anywhere else on your fingers let it dry let it truely harden overnight then wash your hands in the morning when you take a shower or w/e and with a lil bit of work not much the polish will come off your skin and your nails will look dandy

i learned that you wipe the top of your nail to prevent it from peeling so soon.

no cuz they pop u under one of those weird light thingies. My mom was a cosmotogogist. and thats just to prevent creasing lines in the polish from when you sleep. Cuz the polish takes a long time to dry. And if you put a coat on top of it before its fully dried, it takes even longer.

usually if u do it right...depending on da color..if its dark den once....and light colors twice

i only polish once cuz i dun want da color to be too thick...

i think so, but what do i know lol i'm 11 and i'm not even a allowed to wear nail polish!!! lol and i see my friends that are like 8 that wear nail polish lol. but i guess u can add three coats? i do that with clear nail polish
