whenever someone "jocks" or takes something from someone's xanga they are like spammed a bajillion times with the same repetitve comments: "you should die you jocking mofo" etc.

usually people have to get new xangas out of "fear". i think that this is wrong.

as a designer, i know how many hours it takes to make a skin and how hard it takes, i just finished my current one/

when people steal my stuff and put it on their xanga, i am cool with it, even flattered. if they claimed it as their own, i am okay with that too because my name is always in the image, so its obvious they didnt do it. if they did go around other xanga communities online and shopping my skins around (ex. jordan_inc, imposter @ blogring), i would be upset, but i wouldnt try to destroy them online or whatever.

i have had my xanga for 2+ years now and if i had to shut it down because i stole/used parts of the html (it never happened), i would be pretty mad. i mean its all in fun (making skins and making xangas look good). right?

and usually people take out the credits you have on your image. alot are too dumb to, but either way i'd be pissed because i actually sell my art/webdesigns and it wouldn't be fair to any one else who actually paid money for it.

I find it very annoying when people like have all the time in the world and prop someone a million times saying like "die in h*ll jocker*..it's stupid.

That's why when you find out someone has jocked your things you handle it maturely by asking them to please take it off. Who cares if they get flamed a bit for doing it? Teaches them a lesson to not do it again. Sure it may be flattering, but it's all up to a point; you have to draw the line somewhere. I'm sorry, but when I work for 3+ hours on a layout and coding I don't want it to be taken and I don't want someone to credit it as their own. I made it, so why shouldn't I get the credit that is due to me? It would be more flattering if they followed my rules and used the layout. Like others said, it doesn't seem like you're that great of a designer by looks of your recent layout. Sorry.

Why are you supporting people to jock stuff?

For example, you are able to claim the characters of Final Fantasy(its an example =P) and be all right about that? Excuse me, but you are gonna get your ass sued if you did that.

ugh i hate jockers... though no one actually 'jocked' from me... but this one girl... i cant take it! i get the same song as her sister on my xanga, then she starts iming me saying im a b*tch and all that... well as long as they give me credit im fine but for that one girl... she thinks everything she find, its hers and she NEVER gives credits...

umm..just because you don't care about people jocking your skins doesn't mean that i will be okay with them jocking mine! i understand that making skins is all in fun and just to help others out but i don't want someone to take my hours and hours of work that i had to take time out to make and say that they made it and not even give me credit.

and jocking is not okay. it is just like whenever you are doing a report nd copy everything word for word from the book and turn it in saying you did it.

Jocking is wrong...but...you shouldn't be too nice with them either....or too harsh...asking them to take it off...and saying a few harsh words I think is enough for a person who's only done it once...just to teach them a lesson...

But if they post it on a site like createblog, blogringnet... i would little disappointed and tell them to take it off. or i can contact the administrator of the blogringnet and createblog to take it off cause the person who put my layout to the xanga skin it's not theirs. anyways, i also find it annoying when people says "die in h*ll jocker" i agree with brianna. it's stupid for people who says that. and kinda funny at the same time :D

I don't design skins, but I at least have the decentcy not to "jock" things, and I know its bad, regardless what you say and if you are a designer or not.
