How are you going to tell someone they dont dress like that or whatever...maybe they like those clothes. Maybe they are just weaing what they want. Besides um isnt "punk" a lifestyle? Yeah Sid Vicious was called a punk cause he stole,did drugs,and all that good stuff...so if you havent done that and your calling yourself a punk i suggest you go watch sid and nancy or something. But i can understand calling someone a poser when they say they have a certain lifestyle and they dont but clothes wise.....uh no.

A poser is someone who fakes being what they are, for example if someone says he's a rapper, you challenge him and he says no he is, infact a poser. If you have a bunch of white people acting black they are posers( unless they can rap, breakdance or fight.) I myself am not a poser, seeing as I only own 4 pairs of clothes, can freestyle, like fightning and hate all/any form of rock.

I consider a poser someone who has seen someone doing something or listening to a certain kind of music, so they go and do it, or listen to it, because they think that it is cool. I HATE posers.

First of all, Good Charlotte is NOT punk OR goth. It's pop rock. Ha ha. & you're just making it a lot worse by LABELING yourself as a punk goth. and punks and goths are two different things. and Good Charlotte sucks in my humble opinion. :D AND AS FOR THE POSER THING: you've alreay gotten a lotta replies abiut this, but whatever; a poser is someone who tries really hard/pretends to be something they're not.

A compulsive LIAR!! One who is born with it. I knew this girl, who in high school said she had a four year old son, she lied to everyone and everyone knew. She would also lie about going out with the "Hanson" brothers, and you could totally tell it was a lie. She would lie and still does to this day lie about EVERYTHING! She really has no confidence. Now with the so-called "punk trend", my friend who is in her college class asked her who she hung out with in high school. The liar said "Punks." And she said it while she looked at the floor. My gosh, she was mostly a loner in high school and people didn't hang out with her, only talked to her in class! Her only friends were boyfriends! Now she wears all black, and you can totally tell she HATES wearing that stuff!! She's all like, "aww, I like her earrings..." ANd the earrings were preppy! My friend said that now she's claiming to be related to Billy Joe of Green Day. Now I want to kill her!! LOL. She also had told me that Billy from Good Charlotte is Goth. I told her, "No you idiot, he's pop-punk!" I personally don't like gothic music, but I know GC is not gothic, she is really stupid!!! Oh well, that's a poser, a liar. and believe me, Liars are starting to be everywhere.

I will admit it. I thought I was punk. LMFAO!!! Can you see me punk?? Theory: I personally believe that many people want to fit in. Many would like to be recognized and seen a certain way. Don't get me wrong, I do not blame these people for this urge. I understand why people would want such things. But, I think the truely desperate people would change themselves to fit in with these people. This, my friend, is a poser. Everyone was meant to be a certain way. There has to be a balance between different clutures, religons, people, etc.. I think the people who change themselves throw off the balance. But, what I believe is there shouldn't be any labeling at all. I, for instance, listen to quite a few different kinds of music. Also, I dress the way I want. I like some ghetto styles, punk, preppy, and anything else, really. I don't care. I think people who label themselves and other people, are pretty damn close minded. Biggest poser of all time: Joe Pooglielli. I can guarentee you that's not how you spell his last name but, do you think I care. HELL NO! He has one pair of 'punk' pants and one Slipknot shirt. 1. He wears those pants almost every day. Which is just... not right. 2. He wears that Slipknot shirt almost every day. Which, again, is just... not right. Would you like to know why he does all of this posing? Well, he believes that Hutton is his best friend and that Autumn likes him. I don't know why. THE FAT ASS CAN'T TAKE A GOD DAMN HINT! (I would like to clarify, for any fat people, I don't have problems with fat people. But, he's just... ew.) In history he sits with us and touches our desks and gets all close and acts like our friend. Meanwhile, Autumn is scratching the living shit out of him and glaring at him and telling him to go the f**k away. I'm doing the same. LMFAO!! It was so funny that one time when I plucked him in the head with my pencil. We tell him to go away, leave us alone, not talk to us, not look at us, not be near us, not to hurt our poor poor eyes or noses, and many other things! BUT THE FAG CAN'T TAKE A HINT! Well, yeah he can. But he's SOO f**king DESPERATE that he'll actually take all this shit from us, just to be seen with Autumn and Hutton. Omg... In art, he comes to me and Autumn's table where Hutton is a lot of the time. And the only thing I like about him is he always has gum that he's willing to give me because I'm in Autumn's group when we have class together. He's such an a-hole. Oh well.  ..so yeah.. but i dunno.. i just feel it when someone IS A POSEUR..like hilary, ashlee and good charlotte.. i mean, really.. hello?  everybody wants to be somebody.. but NOT kind of like a hilary-ish way..you know what i mean?? [maybe..?].. Us, humans won't even know if we're following something.. 'cause we sometimes do things just because we have to or we like to.. like for example.. a girl who has a wavy hair wants to straighten her hair NOT TO LOOK LIKE THE ASIAN PEOPLE WITH THOSE REALLY STRAIGHT AND CUTE ASIAN HAIR [i really love those..lol] but because she has too..
