Anyone who has a problem with another high school classification wearing a vintage basketball shoe should be pushed out of a moving car on an interstate.

Ever see Friday? Smokey's wearing Chucks.
Ever been to LA? Mad brothas wear Chucks.
Ever see a basketball game from the 50s or 60s?

I made my point. Pointless thread because this should be common sense. I'm glad this poll was posted so I can slap some knowledge on you muthas.

Wtf is this thread? So redundant and... naive? Anyway Chucks are the shittest shoe money can buy. And for upwards of 40 bucks for canvas and rubber? I remember when I used to rock Chucks, they were less than 20, may be even 10 bucks! Don't you hate how crap like that inflates itself bc of stupid trends?

Anyway if you ask me, punks wear chucks bc they're fairly cheap and they dont have to worry about them getting f**ked up at a show and they can draw on it and do whatever they want to it. Preps wore it bc it was pretty much the everday shoe that they can easily replace?

Funny how small things like shoes can be included into a "scene" image. So if I wear dunks does it mean I'm into underground hiphop? If I wear vans does it mean I listen to indie/punk rock? Fuckk it all, they're just damn clothes.

I have this poser punk in my class, (and I have called her that) who was wearing Converse and said to a group of people including me, "Anyone just has to look at my shoes, and THEY know who I AM". I wear high tops. It seems to follow as this:

- Punks with low-tops, black/dark colored.
- Prep guys with high-tops, random colors. (e.g. Black, Green, etc.).
- Prep girls with low-tops, bluish, black, white.
