the neighborhood kids and i found a lot of baby birds one time.
and this one really sweet kid chewed up worms for them.

...and no one bothers to pay attention to me.

except for nicole and that other person, i forget who it was.

We found one and it was also bald. My mom had this oven mitten that looked like a bird and we fed him smashed up lemon bread with that. He kind of got to bloated and died somehow.. I can't remember. Don't feed it too much ( that's if it's still alive)

You shouldn't have picked up the bird.. now the mother will never find it or want it back.

I don't think you should of picked it up, it probably fell outta the nest. The mother won't want it now because it has ur scent all over it. But google it on how you take care of a baby bird and all. Good Luck

wait i just read what dahding wrote....it's illegal? lol. Well i guess you should take it to the animal shelter or somethan..or you know what...put it back in it's nest if you can find it.

Remember, there are certain food that can kill a bird, esp. when you buy worms from the market. YOU should find worms somewhere but no in the market because they add some chemical to the worm .. . put the birds back in the orginal place until the mama never comes back .. then you'll be the mama.

You're not supposed to take baby birds when you're not certain about it's condition or situation!
The bird was probably in a nest above and the bird just fell out of its nest because of excercising its legs or trying to fly.
You must look for those three signs first; there are neighboring birds that look like that infant bird, a nest in a tree above the area you found the bird, or if there was distant squaking (it could be the mother).
If all three of those are missing then you take it inside.

but........i didnt leave it cause there was already 3 other damn birds dead on the side walk so i knew momma wasnt commen back for the live one

how do you know the bird doesn't have some sort of obscure tropical disease that could wipe out your entire family?!

i have an idea!

go find a nest and put the bird in it!

that way the nest's current owners will abandon it,

and the bird will die!

if its a babie you really need to keep it warm it has no feathers yet so keep it warm or just bring it to some animal caring thingings lol if you dont want to take care of it

now that you have taken it in.....you should put it in a basket with a blanket and hang it where you found the bird or if there is a nest, put it there.

You can call some type of animal shelter hotline and ask for tips on what to do. Keep it in a soft warm place until you find out what to do. Go here.

If it's not to late...

take it to the vet and he/she will take care of it and they will release it once capable.
