Haha, but this morning she was all like "COME ON, 2250, 2250!" so...yeah it wasn't that great. Made me want to a cry a little. And it didn't help that everybody around me scored so much better. I hate my school.

*cries* okay! as mindy well atest (..that's the right word, no? maybe that's why i got a 690 in the verbal section) my school's average on the old SATs was ... 1490? Great, that means it'll be like 2250 this year. BAHHHHHH i wish I went to a hick school in .. Oklahoma where I stood out and was AWESOME.

^you could probably be that at mine, where no one even got a 1600 one the old SAT this year

and were supposedly such a good school. psssh

see, people should listen to me when i say that things are way to curriculum oriented and the gifted kids who could actually be smart dont learn that way

So, what'd y'all get on the new-fangled SAT? Are you retaking it? Were you bummed? And what was your essay score? mellow.gif

I got 2100 flat & I'm retaking in May. Uhm. Essay score was 10/12. Yeah, I'm a freak.

I was hoping to break 2200, so yeah, I'm bummed. What sort of cheers me up though, is the fact that the highest score I know of thus far is 2250. :\ AISHDFLAKNDEERaslijdhf cry.gif

bleh, im old school, and i got a 1470.. i was okay with it

Are you kidding me? A 1700 is equivalent to a 1133 or something! pinch.gif A 1470 in the old SATs is really good. BUT, in the new SATs it's out of 2400. So I got 1700/2400. *sigh* I'm going to study like crazy for the next one.

Actually, I'm fine with my scores (tiny lie). It's just....when my parents get, you know, and people comparing their scores with each other at school..bah.

It's okay. I don't want to go to an ivy anyway. *Sulks*

But hey--something to consider? My friend said that there's no way colleges will look at SATs extremely carefully this year, being new and all. So maybe we can all hope for that!

Wow, I thought you were much older.

Anna, you did really good, but everyone has their own expectations. Some people are just unrealistic. If you were my kid, I would buy you a car. Or plant you a tree. Or eat a fat person. Whatever. You did great.

I plan on taking it whenever I can. I'm in 8th grade now, but I talk to Mindy too much. Haha. biggrin.gif

im hoping for that to be untrue in another couple of years, because i dont plan to go to ivy or anythingso the fact that i didnt do as well as you doesnt matter, but my grades arent that good, so i need the SATs
