Underground is: any type of music that isn`t mainstream. I doubt you`d ever see "underground" music on MTV or hear it on a radio station.

I know music is about quality, but the only music I like just so happens to be underground.

What about you? Do you listen to underground?

If so, which bands?

//edit:

I`ll just name the first ones that come to mind: Brown Eyed Deception, Runaway Orange, Saosin, Cauterize, Sherwood, My American Heart, and The Snake The Cross The Crown.

xo, Pauline

eh, listening to them is more nostalgic for me than anything. i was going to mention that's one of the main reasons still like them in my earlier post, but i decided against it.

i really want to go see the good life. they're coming to san francisco on the 23rd.

They are still underground. Alll the artist that were under that label that have gone mainstream, like Slim Thug, are doing their records under a different label.

I think Slim Thug is doing his new one under Arista.

EDIT: My fave is Chalie Boy and his album Versatyle Mixtape

For those of you who couldn't find Volcano, I'm Still Excited!'s "In Green": here you go... Click.

I hope you guys like it. happy.gif

The "ahhhh" is sort of cheesy, but that's just another thing that makes me like this song even more.

Pauline you're a cb h0r. If you get me addicted to this I'll murder you.
BUBBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE

Underground? I've liked underground music since I was little because of my dad -- yes my dad biznatches -- and my crazy sister.

Current favs (courtesy of Pauline): JamisonParker, Days Away, Saosin, Cauterize, Never Heard Of It, The Snake The Cross The Crown, The Academy Is, & that's all I can think of right now.

The only rap I ever listen to is Hieroglyphics, and I guess they're pretty underground. They rock my socks.

Mucho love,

Alyson

yeah, it was a good idea to make a separate topic for underground hip-hop.

i don't think he's underground in the hip-hop community, and i had never heard of him before so i don't think he's really mainstream, but andre nickitina is one of the few rappers who i kind of enjoy. of course, i could be completely wrong and he could be a giant artist in hip-hop, but i obviously don't listen to this genre much. i sound really stupid so i'll cut this post off, but "crack raider razor" by him is a good song.

The other thread is not limited to underground rock. Note the title. This thread is unnecessary.

It's relevent and helpful to the mods; get it through your head, you're not worth my time that I personally go after you. In case you haven't noticed, I help out the mods by getting ride of repetitive threads. Get your head out of your ass.

Why would they be turned off by the title? Does the title not address all underground music? And who cares about the content? Do you honestly think everyone is going to come in here and read all 13 pages? And if they liked the music so much why would it matter if majority of the people were talking about rock? They would still post their opinions on underground hiphop as others have done on trance and such.

There are no genres listed in the freaking title! And don't make a new thread about it because clearly if the mods are closing/merging your topics, they don't agree with you. stubborn.gif
