i was thinking about getting a tattoo <without my parents knowledge of course>. i saw an orante one around some guy's forearms - i dont know the name of it though. just thought i'd go here before i do anything. http://www.relache.com/body_art/devito/devito_forearm.gif something like that, only horizontal and .. yeah.

It depends WHERE on your body you put it. Some places hurt more than others. (e.g. places with more nerve endings) It also depends on your tolerance for pain. Supposedly, tattoos around parts of the body where the bone isn't covered with as much muscle are supposed to hurt more. (like on your knee, elbow, or collarbone) (that has yet to be confirmed) My friend got a tattoo right above her hip and she was laughing hysterically the whole time they did it. (it tickled apparently) anyway, point being... it just depends on the person. i say, go for it. pain subsides.

one of them said it doesnt hurt until they color it in. and the others just said it doesnt hurt. |

lol naw i don't have one, but i wouldn't mind having one. One of my good friends got one for her birthday, and got her bellybutton pierced too and she told me that the piercing hurt more then the tatoo. But it matters where you get the tatoo, and it matters on ur pain tolerance

I dont have one yet. However my Mom and cousin and a couple friends have them and said at first it hurts but then your skin becomes numb to it and it eventually doesnt hurt anymore. It all depends on where you get it. If it is on bone like in the middle of your back or your ankle it hurts the worst in those areas

i dont have any but my mom has three and she says that they hurt but the one one her stomach she said hurt alot but that was her first one and its fairly big and then the one on her ankle i dont know about that one but its pretty big and then she has a small butterfly on her shoulder and i dont think that one hurt that much because its small
any tattoo that uses a needle is gonna hurt, anything that uses a needle is gonna hurt.

 I bet it did hurt, but really you just want people to know that it didn't hurt cause you want them to think you're strong and never feel the pain lol... especially the tough guys haahahaha. anyways of course it hurts!!! >.<;;but i heard that britney spears when she got her tatto...this was her face  but then again she only made that face for 5 seconds, and smiled... like she was on high  so yeah...Well I guess it doesn't hurt to some people. Well for me, I hate needles... I never done any tattoes... but I know it looks painful cause I hate needles >.< |

It depends where you get it. And your tolerance for pain.
The one on my lower back didn't really hurt. And the one on my hip bone tickled. |

I don't have a tattoo and I don't think I'll ever get one. Mostly because I think there would be a lot of pain involved and I hate needles and because I can't image myself as a grandma with an old wrinkly tattoo. What is your tattoo going to be and where?

i want one on my hip, i don't have the actual design yet (the tattoo artist is gonna design it for me there), but its gonna involve a butterfly, sun, moons, stars, and the word "iuvenesco" which is to reach the prime of life in latin. it kinda has special meaning to me, and i'm positive i want it, so i guess thats how i worked up the nerve to go through the pain. plus, it'll look awesome! lol
