adverbs, .. help ?

i need to find " to what extent " of this person who is laughing. it has to be an adverb.
so far i have .. " nearly laughing "

example:
nearly won
had almost left
hardly counted
scarcely escaped

EDIT

This is " adverbs modifying verbs "
