Hey, heres the thing. My best friend or at least someone who I thought was my best friend stole a few things from me ( this happened a while ago) it was more than once. The first time I confronted her on the phone about a shirt she was wearing but I knew it was mine and she said that it was from her grandmother.then a few days later she just gave it back to me and said "merry christmas"..it wasn't christmas time. Then the second time it was something more expensive so my mom called her mom and she never called back so now we dont talk at all.I guess in a way its good because of more independence but I really miss having my best friend to talk to.I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else, or how you dealt with it..

Yes this has happened to me before. My bestfriend stole my favorite pants that I only wore once. I tried confronting her on the situation but she just denys what she did. I know she did it because I went to a party and seen her older sister wearing it. cry.gif Even though she stole my precious pants I still will forgive her because she is my only best friend. huh.gif I rather her than any material item that i own. Yes she lied, but nobody is perfect and hey i probably would've lied too. mellow.gif So try to talk to your friend about the situation. Become friends again. Well that's my opinion. _smile.gif

You should probably talk to her about it, how it makes you feel, and how you think it will affect your relationship. Trust is definitely one of the top priorities in friendships. But being open about feelings is, too.

i think you should talk to her about it.. but if shes really bitchy or whatever about it then maybe shes not such a good friend and maybe its better you dont stay friends with her. you know down the line she could always turn out to be a bad person _dry.gif . but then again if you let it pass i guess yall might be friends again just over time, sometimes it works that way.

yeah i agree..
tell her how you feel about wat she did, dont shout at her or anything jus express yourself as calmly as you can so she knows how it affects you. if you want to, tell her u want to still be friends but if your gona be friends she shouldnt steal from you, cuz she can jus ask to borrow ur belongings if she needs them.. i share clothing n other things with my best friends n even usual friends all the time! sharing's hella better than stealing.. jus explain it to her n watever her reaction would be thats when u know if shes a true friend or not happy.gif gluck!!

get a new friend.
I would be so upset if my friend stole anything from me. You should just straight up tell her how you feel and if she doesn't understand, there are a lot of better people out there who you can be friends with that don't steal.

that sucks..if she's really your 'best friend' then you should probably talk to her about it...and if the things she stole is really expensive, then maybe you should get your parents involved also..?

She sounds like a dumb butt.
Talk to her. Confront her. Threaten her. Make her give back your clothes! tongue.gif ... but simply, just talk to her. In my opinion, she's not worth being your best friend.

the people who haven't taken serious action, you should, don't let people walk all over you because they're your "friend" if they were your friend they wouldn't have stolen from you mad.gif

That's happened to me before. She stole a few things. Shirts mostly. Funny thing is, is that my name was on the inside of them because I had attended camp a year before...[this was 6th grade] So. Ha. She lost.

What a best friend she is....
I don't have friends over a lot so that hasn't happened to me. I don't think my best friend would even do that. They're not those kind of people.
