Saosin isn't too underground; they've recently had their video played on FUSE. Granted, not MTV, but that's definitely not underground. But I've loved them forever now.

some underground i listen to:
i would set myself on fire for you
the mercury project
the snake the cross the crown
cue the doves
monday in london
the belles
a silver mt. zion
explosions in the sky
He Is Legond
The Receiving End of Sirens
mm yup.

saddle creek bands (desa, good life, faint) aren't that underground.. the faint is on mtv2 pretty regularly i believe. i've heard so much about the blood brothers over the past year, i'm going to check them out this weekend.

for the love of playing my guitar, how do yall hear of "underground" bands if theyre underground.  i thought they were "unheard of".
Not necessarily. Underground is pretty much just.. stuff that's not mainstream. Spread by word of mouth and such, usually. Locals too. Yep.

hewhocorrupts
towers of rome
bane
kodan armada
la symphony (hip hop)
murder by death
death by stereo
minus the bear
sigur ros
sleeping with silence (chicago local)

yeah, i thought there was all that stuff where the singer left and such. i've been wondering where their debut was.
godspeed you black emperor is amazing. i got lysflath about a month ago and it's mind blowing. i was actually trying to get one of a silver mt zion's cds at the time i ordered it, but i didn't trust the ones being sold on amazon.
minus the bear is awesome too, i enjoy "monkey!!! knive!!! fight!!!" by them.

Well, I like underground but not as much as a friend of mine named Crispy who's friends with some very underground bands...

some of my favorites are like, Sunday Driver, Big Collapse, The Interns, Rise & Shine... but that's prolly too underground

let's see...I like Rilo Kiley, Alkaline Trio, Minor Threat, Mars Volta, Death Cab For Cutie, Further Seems Forever, The Get-Up Kids, At the Drive in, and Jimmy Eat World...
*

yeah uh getup kids, mars volta, and jimmy are all mainstream

underground is cool.

hmm, gorrilla biscuits, saosin, killswitch engage, streetlight manifesto, just to name a few.

my boyfriend likes them alot, and had me listen to them, but i just wanted to stick large objects in my ears to penetrate my eardrums.
;)

No, but seriously, they're okay. Not my style.

Mm, days away, yes. Saw them last summer when they were on tour opening for Mae.

mellow.gif Oh my.

Heh, I like bands with innocent-ish poppish sounds, like Mates of State.

Oh, and Nada Surf and Pretty Girls Make Graves should also be added to my list, though I`m not really sure if they`re underground or not. Annnnnd, The Gloria Record.

Days Away is pretty good live. I also went to a show of theirs back in October, and they gave me and my friends some free stuff. The show was great, I got to see: The Snake the Cross the Crown, Number One Fan, Emanuel, and Armor for Sleep that day.

By the way, did Days Away just recently get signed by Fueled by Ramen? blink.gif
