well, i've only baught condoms once (and don't plan to again for a long time) but yeah.. it was really emberassing. i just looked like it was something normal and didn't make a big deal out of it. the cashier didn't seem to care. but, it's a plus for me cuz i look older than i really am so it's not like they thought some kid was just buying condoms. they probably thought someone around 16 or 17 was buying them.

i would expect guys to have pride in buying condoms. unless he baught like extra small or something like that. maybe that's why he was embaressed. but i doubt he'd admit that to other guys in the locker room.

but, at least in PA, there's no legal age for having sex. you can have sex at the age of two. i guess. lol. you can't have sex with someone 18 or over if you're under 18 and you (obviously) can't rape anyone. but if it's all fair sex and both people are in agreement, it's not illegal.

I dont buy them, I get them from my friends (I mean I could but I dont use condoms..its because i dont have sex so yah no worries)

You know what's nastier? An STD. Shouldn't be ashamed of buying them, mostly everyone is going to have sex in their life sooner or later.

a.its not illegal for you to be having sex before 17, it's illegal for someone over the age of 18 to be having sex...thats about it i think

the first time i had to buy was kinda embarassing. i mean i went to the self-checkout lane so i wouldnt have to give it to the cashier. but, it was embarassing to take it off the rack. =P not only was it embarassing but at the same time i felt shame cuz of that whole stigma or double standards about girls. some guys think that if a girl buys a box of condoms that they're like a whore. thats messed up right? anyways, i had to buy it cuz my ex was too lazy to buy.

I say that because I'm even embarrassed when I buy regular things like gum and school supplies and CDs. I get nervous around people, so yeah. I'm just applying that logic to this situation.

I've never really been embaressed buying condoms.

I think the only weird part, is at certain stores, they have them locked up (this k-mart near where i lived with my parents house did) and you have to find someone to open it, and it ends up being some old man doing it. You feel akward, if anything.

Other than that, it's not so bad. Try buying a pregnancy test with your boyfriend, and not getting embaressed ;\

i think it's not embarrassing at all. i mean, most people gotta do the nasty once in a while, right? no big problemo.

No offense, but why the hell worry about what people think of you when you walk into a store, and quite possibly might never see them again? Screw them, they don't know you, and you don't need to change your lifestyle to please others, or whatever.

So what if you're buying condoms and they think you're a whore, at least in their subconcious, they'll know you're a whore who won't get pregnant or stds (assuming the condoms are used.)
