ok here is the thing. my english teacher approached me yesterday about a thing she had nominated me for called the young writer's confrence. that means if i tell her im interested that i have until april 29th to submit short story and she said i might be able to submit a poem. now here is the problem i wanna do it but it sunds fun but then i have to read my submitted writing in front of EVERYONE ELSE AT THE CONFRENCE. i don't have stage fright becuz for goodness' sake im an actress! but my writings are usally very personala nd they help me express myself and i don't know if i want them judge. i am so0o0o0 stuck i wanna do it but then again i don't. HELP!!!!!!!

click on post your own stories and sign up and then post your poem or short story Then sign up and post ur story/poem, you'll get critics from real people so if it's not good they'll help you edit and once it's good, then I'm sure you'll feel confident enough to enter the writing contest |

tell your teacher that..or just learn for once that no one should ever change the way you feel about things....if you think something is great the way it is..don't ever let anyone tell you different. have confidence in what you do...

if the people from the conference are not from your school, don't worry about it. if they are.. well they will not keep it against you

yeah, i would be nervous about this too, haha, yeah i write and yeah, i act. :D
i think the thing about reading your writing out loud is ... it just reveals so much about yourself. i think you should go for it. after all, you might get so famous later in life and regret this decision...hm? |

i think you should do it! its a great opportunity, and maybe you could think of some other topics not related to your personal life. i bet they'd still be great too
