Heres a list of basic fonts that are compatible with Myspace/IE/Firefox/Windows

Arial
ArialBlack
ArialNarrow
CenturyGothic
ComicSansMS
Courier
CourierNew
FranklinGothicMedium
Garamond
Georgia
Impact
LucidaConsole
LucidaSansUnicode
System
Tahoma
TimesNewRoman
TrebuchetMS
Verdana
Geneva
Optima

and then update all your font-family:fontnamehere; on your myspace css code.

EDIT://

i just relized this bb2 board doesnt support all these fonts, so if you go here you can view them all correctly

you can not use these font in an html document enless every person who visted your myspace had the specific font downloaded on their computer, which is very unrealistic and not likely.

you could use Microsoft WEFT 3 to embed dafont fonts into a webpage
heres a tutorial on how to use it, go here

PM me if you have any questions or problems.

FontReactor you can also preview fonts on this site :)

btw embedding fonts so users have to download it's not a very good idea. You'll find better results using flash or using fonts as an image created with an external program like photoshop

^ Don't spam and bring up old topics. That was pretty much pointless.

f**k you guys. This is an informative post that can still help people out. Don't be such assholes. The guy that digs this old post up isn't any more guilty of spamming than you douchebags who flame him about it. You need to get the f**k over it. Oh shit, did I bring up an old post? I guess I better watch out. Get a life faggots.

1. It was not flaming. Rachel lea's post wasn't contributing to the topic. (A PM would have been more appropriate.)

2. This is your verbal warning for violating:

I'm sorry to be a little late but I think there is a valid point to Rachael Lea's post. While it might seem mean to you, it does inform some people that there are (possibly) more fonts than listed by Black_Heart. Furthermore, shouldn't you be happy that people catch old mistakes so they can be archived correctly for future use by someone via a search engine? (I found this post using Google)

However, Rachael is somewhat wrong. While Rachael's list might be "tons longer" not everyone's is.

So be more accurate, you can use any font on myspace so long as it's in the "fonts" folder under %systemroot%. If a person is viewing your web page and does not have the font you are trying to use with your css, it will go to the default font (I think it's Times New Roman) and that's what they'll see. If you want them to view your page in a different font, give them a link to download the font which they should use.

And Ajax, I wouldn't think cussing and name calling would be necessary. A simple post like this gets your point across just fine.

Just some constructive criticism. Thanks for reading and for your time. Sorry if anyone holds ill feelings to me as I simply would not care.

Edit: LOL cool I'm a "newbie". :D

^ Even though Rachael Lea's post was somewhat valid, It isnt like jh008 was trying to name EVERY single font that could be used. He was just naming the basic ones that most people use.
Sooo yeah.

And so this isnt bumped up anymore, I'm going to close it.
If anyone disagrees, then PM me and let me know. _smile.gif
