i know there was a post about this but i couldnt find it..
how do i make my pictures look vintagey kinda like old western pics?

i dont want them black and white cause i already know how to do greyscale, annd i have photoshop..

Add the sepia photo filter to your filter. Preview it and adjust until you get something you like.
You can also just fill a layer with a brown-ish color and set the layer to color, but that's a tad more complicated.

..... Filter -> Adjustments -> Photo Filers -> Choose sepia from the pull menu.

Yes. I know i double posted but I swear it's for a legit reason. I have spent about an hour trying to conquer this "vintage icon" craze and I THINK i've cracked it out.
I double posted to let those who started this thread, and the other one about it, to know there really is a way! Please dont kill me.

THIS IS FOR PHOTOSHOP!

1. First you need a decent pic of a celeb or what not. I pick this one:

It's already resized to 100*100

2. Duplicate the picture & Go to IMAGE >> ADJUSTMENTS >> HUE/SATURATION

A pop up box will come up. change the saturation to -26. Yes that's a negative.

Your picture should then look like this:



3. This is the part where i've been expirementing on. Really, if you experiment on your own you can get good results, but these are just the ones I came up with.



Make a new layer, use the EYE DROPPER, and extract the first one, and fill the new layer with it. Then change the layer settings to SOFT LIGHT and then 85 OPACITY

Your picture:

It looks vintage to me. But anyways, just change the layer to the layer color specified and change the settings like it says. My results are:

1- up there

2- [this was at 62 opacity]

Those are my results. You can see the slight difference in them.

You can, of course, spice it up with brushes of your choice..etc etc etc.
