how to make tables transparent Options

Basically, trying to make me' own HTML layout for myspace, but I fail.

I want the boxes to be transparent, here's my HTML;

I want the boxes to have a colour on them, but be transparent, like the ones in THIS layout;

But a colour that would suit the layout.


If anybody can help me with this, I'll have their babies.
