Feel free to close this if there's a topic similar, I just thought I'd randomly post something I've heard...

This girl I used to go to elementary school with got her belly button peirced. Which isn't too odd, but the thing is she's only 13...

Here, you need to be 16 to get almost any type of peircing without an adult, and she said she just pretended a friends' mom was her mom...

But the point is: What? Peirced belly button at 13? blink.gif Isn't that a little young? Or is it a natural thing to do at that age and I just don't know?

[I am 13 , for the record, it's odd to me because no one else I know in my entire school has any type of peircing other than ears, not including some girls who peirced their own lips.]

a lot of my friends got belly button piercings when they were 13. but they got it from a girl named chrsitine who pierced your belly button with the same needle she used on everyone and her friend and hers clit. can you imagine having your clit pierced? yes, it was very unsanitary. its up to you whether or not you want a piercing. girls in my school have nose lip chin eyebrow belly and OTHER things pierced. maybe its just the area we live in ?

I had mine done when I was 13.
Peopel are dumb and use other people's parents.
But hey. who cares.

Im suprised they didn't catch her thou.
Because here they check your ID and social security cards and stuff. And you have to be 18 to get a piercing without a guardian.

I don't think really matters... If she wants to get her belly button pierced, she can but I don't think using a friend's parent was very smart.

depends where you go and what you're getting for the age thing...where i am, you can go without a parental guardian or whatever for your belly button piercing at 16. a friend of mine did it months ago, and her parents still don't know. and no...the youngest i've heard of was in grade 6... ermm.gif so that would be like...11. now thats a bit young i think...

Oh wow that girl you`re talking about sounds like one of my friends [She has 7 piercings and she`s only 13]...I think it is too young though. I heard from my science teacher that these days you need to just bring in a an 18+ adult with you to the store and they`ll pierce it for you. But then when I went shopping with my friends, we went to check out this store that does piercing, name belts, name plates, etc..all you need is 5 bucks

i can't believe someone else's parent would actually do that. i mean i could maybe understand an adult doing that for a 16 or 17 year old, maybe...
anyway, some local girl a couple of years ago got her belly button pierced. it got infected and spread to her heart. she ended up having to have heart sugery. now that's just a little too scarey.

I don't think it is too young, but I think she should have asked her mother. Which shows she's not too young, but she's too immature.

Hmm... never really knew it was a common thing to do at 13... ermm.gif

My mom would shoot me... twice. But then, she's kinda old... and old-fashioned...

I don't think 13 is young. MANY of my friends got it done when they were 12 and 13. (I'm 14.) I even know one kid who has is tongue pierced and I don't think its wrong..

i got mine done when i was 14. but i asked my mom first and she was cool with it. personally, i dont think age really matters cause i mean, what's she gonna do with the belly ring at 16 that she cant do at 13? its sort of like babies who get their ears pierced.

But everyone's mad about 13 year old girls who dress skanky and stuff... would you consider a 13 year old owning clothes that showed the belly button ring skanky? I don't consider it wrong, per se, I'm just trying to get into other people's minds. And it's confusing me. wacko.gif

its too young, i mean usually around 15/16 you start to realize who and what you really are. the things you want to do, and thats pretty stupid in my opinion that she got it b/c you can like it now but she probabaly wont like it later in life.
