Hi,folks biggrin.gif

I have a question . Well , I have really REALLY thick hair . And it's like sooooo curly whistling.gif . Lol I've tried to use all kinds of products that ' supposed ' to help it but . they rarely worked . o.o'

I've striaghten it like two years ago . And it came out nice . Sadly, it didn't last any longer than 5 months ? -.- My friends told me to buy one of those hair striaghteners and striaghten it like every morning .

And here's the question . My hair is sooo thick ( one again ) and it's long and curly and all that >< do you guys think that by just 'straighten-ing' it once a day with a regular hair-striaghtener would help ?

If yes , any particular brand and model ? How much does a ' good one ' cost ? I mean , my mom would NEVER buy me those $10o ones since she doesnt believe a word of those straightener on me . o.o

ok . I'm sorry if this is too long pinch.gif

No, that really ruins your hair. >.<;;
But if you really want to, go ahead, just remember to buy a ceramic iron because it's better for your hair. =]
And product I recommend is 'Bed Head' it's kind of expensive, but I think it works pretty good. xD
And brushing your hair after you take a shower/bath until it's dry helps your hair maintain it's smooth and sleek-ness too. =]

Uhm, just using a ceramic straightner would make a difference.
Like this or this
& then hot oil treatment once a month

&yeah, that's not very good for you hair to do that everyday, but it's your choice.

wll, girl i hear ya! i have enough hair (or did) for three heads! but i got my hair thinned and i only straighten my hair twice a week, b/c for really coarse, thick, curly hair, it damages it to wash it every single day.

i used a Hai 2 straightener which was $100, but believe it or not, i got a certain conair straightener for like 35 bucks at walmart that works awesome. other brands i've had are hot tools and Chi. but make sure it's a ceramic straightener!

hot tools.. about $35. and maybe you weren't straightening it correctly because i have really thick and curly hair and it works.. you have to straighten by layers..like you put your hair up and leave some hair down and straighten it sloowllyy.. and yea. kkkkkk later.

LiKE if your gonna get a hair straightener, get a ceramic or gold plated one it doesnt damage that much. But before you dry then straighten your hair, use Infusium 23 leave in COnditioner.. its helps repair and strengethen your hair.. you can also use Infusium 23 Shampoo nd COnditioner but for me the the LEAVE IN CONDITIONER is a MUST...

so ya like if you air dry your hair, put some leave in conditioner when its semi-dry. then just wait for it to dry then straighten it with a cermaic hair straightener.

if you use a hair blower you can put in the Infiusum 23 b4 u dry it and then straighten.. and ya...

there r also those hair staighterns that u can use when your hair is wet. it leaves moisture thruout the day which is good.. so ya sry this is long lol.

wow your mom should start believing cause my friend has a $200 ceramic plate straightner and it works like magic. im not kidding. try convince your mom. the money is worth it. plus it lasts long. but yeah just in case your mom doesnt trust it still, there is a gold plate called HOT TOOLS that you can get for about $30 at a salon.

but the easiest is if you just go to a hair salon, magic straighten your hair for about $150. go to azn places. they straighten your hair well and lasts longer then 5 months.

I know what ur going through...i have hair exactly like yours. you need to change your shampoo about every 8 or 9 months, because if you dont, your hair gets used to the shampoo and it wont be too effective. Be sure to use either a defrizzing shampoo or curl enhancing or some sort of shampoo made right for your hair. Next time you go to the hair salon, you should ask the stylist to reccomend a shampoo. and after i wash my hair, i usually put it up in a ponytail and then go to bed(i normally shower at night). And if you want to flat iron your hair, go get a ceramic plated flat iron, so it wont ruin your hair. It is worth it to go get those really expensive ones, because they really do work well. i have one that i share with my mom and it is awesome. it is worth it if you go buy it, or if you save up for one by yourself. just make sure to get a lot of haircuts to cut off the split and fried ends every few months or so if you flat iron your hair

Yep, I have that one too. It works pretty good, but don't use it every day. And use it with a hair straightening gel or something. You could also get your hair professionally straightened... whistling.gif

EDIT//

Oh, I guess it didn't work for you...
