I want to be there to hold your hand If I can’t do that then I’ll stand by you forever as a friend But there are feelings that I can’t mend Remember that I’ll always be there for you Just because we can’t be two I won’t stand in the way of your happiness Even if I must stand in the shadows of loneliness I’ll be the shoulder that you can cry on Even if you must console with me until dawn If you are happier with him, then you are with me Then I suppose that I should let you be Even though I’ll miss you with all my heart It seems that you’ve already been hit by cupid’s dart I suppose that dart wasn’t meant for me… I hope that he will be able to show you what love is supposed to be… |
