![]() Okay, i want to make a really detailed banner like the example. The video shows the person doing it, but he sped it up, and its hard to translate that... Help? Oh and where can i find those textures he used? ( The textures with the red lights, etc.) BTW, i asked him how, but he never replied back. |

Those dots- it's called a Light Texture and they're just out of focused dots. You can find a boatload on DeviantArt.
And for that cube effect, after he did all of his editing and what not, it would seem that he merged it all together, duplicated the merge, did Filter>> Mosaic? I think that's the right filter. And he just erased the parts over his face. |

Hm. Some Selective Coloring and some textures is what he used to do his coloring.
Let me see if I can find a tutorial that gives similar coloring. Note: This might not work with your images. http://community.livejournal.com/icon_tuto...942.html#cutid1 Hey, what images are you trying to do that with? |

uhm, im only using two pictures of me, but maybe i'll add a third one..
but here are the originals, and the ones i quickly did on photoshop. i just added a duplicate layer and used gausian(sp) blur at 3.0 and set it to overlay, so the quality wouldn't look that bad.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() should i use the originals or the edited? |

Either ones would work. Uhm. Are the second batches, are those after you did the tutorial?
Plus, if you were going to make it as a sig, meaning a lot smaller, the loss of quality should go away after you size it down substantially. |

^If the edited photos were edited using the steps in the tutorial. Plus, he used a few images of his own and just messed around with the opacity. He also used gradients and maybe a brush for the little paint splat. He also messed around with the text settings to make them look how they are. It'll just take a while. Does he a have a website or something so that maybe you can find another way to contact him?
