It's alright for your first layout.

Not to be mean or anything but basically what you did was take a background image and coded it with just that image, nothing special. Look up tutorials for your program.

I'll look at other layouts and try my skills at improving.

Yea, it really does look like a myspace page. It SUCKS! Both of you were very kind in your responses(schizo, forgive the sinner) I am going to revamp and start over tommorrow. Less is more. I want it to look stream lined and professional and it looks like my nephew designed it. I was a kid in a candy store and used eveything I could think of. Live and Learn, That's why I am here.

I would say seeing from your design that you definately have the style, but just dont know how to make it looks right, I'm thinking your confused about what color combos and fonts to use? along with good image quality? I can see your going to the web 2.0 feel but not bad for a first:]

Thanx skylitex. I am not sure of graphics and images in general. I am not an artist and have very little experience with using a graphic editor, but I have some tutorials I will get to later today.

Not to sound stupid or anything, but what exactly is Web 2.0? I have haerd and seen it a lot but not sure what it means.

I plan to down size and go much more simple. I did too much too quickly.

well web 2.0 is a website where the user uploads information to the site, like myspace, whereas web 1.0 is where the admin uploads info to the site, so in web 1.0 there are no users where as web 2.0 would require membership, like createblog, myspace, youtube, etc. the difference in design between web 2.0 and web 1.0 is that the designer tries to go for a more streamline look without things being cluttered, so that users can access it more easily, whereas web 1.0 seems to be a little more disorganized:]

Is your layout not Firefox-compatible? I only see a default layout. If it's supposed to look like that, you should definitely customize your tables and use a different color for the text. Also, the background doesn't work in resolutions larger than 1024x768.

Could you clarify the resolution, how does it not work?
