I think this is as good an idea as any, if someone wants to take charge of it. I'd leave it until the Icon maker contest is done, though, because it may have overlapping appeal, and we wouldn't want it to start, and then be overshadowed, if that makes sense.

Ohh I like this idea. But yes I think this should be done after LIMS is over. I can help if you'd like, Kevin.

The shirts better be cheap. I ain't paying $20 for a shirt with quality as that of Old Navy.

I think it's a good idea, but we need to get people to say that they are for sure going to do it.

maybe before you guys charge ahead with this idea you should see how many people would even be willing to buy a t-shirt? i find it hard to believe the demand on this site would be very high considering the majority of people here aren't even old enough to have a credit card to pay i don't think.
I'M RAINING ON YOUR PARADE. no, but really maybe you should do a poll or something and see if there's any demand for this. i guess you can just have the t shirt design contest regardless though and just never actually use the design for real shirts. i don't know. |

We had one already.
nas made the winning design, and I know krnxswat has one. I didn't buy one. No one really wanted them. |

I think it's a really cool idea, actually, and it's something I'd get excited about if other people in this topic weren't right in saying that people probably wouldn't buy the tshirts.
I think it might take off more if the designs didn't have to be entirely cb-related, though.. |

If people want to do it, let them, whether or not the shirt will sell... Might just be fun. |

who the f**k will buy a shirt that says "createblog" when it means to no one but yourself? Like jc says, kids dont have online access to shop.
why dont we make shirts that DOESNT SAY CREATEBLOG, but the brand name/designer would be createblog? not only it will not sell to children, it'll sell to adults who are able to buy them without going, "wtf is createblog ?" i'll ask the entire cb now, WHO ACTUALLY HAVE CB SHIRT(S)? |

yeah ... then, cB would make a fashion statement across the world. jusun would become rich.
but anyways, it's more profitable and SMARTER because you are not only representing createblog, you're also representing unknown artist + designs. |

anyway, yeah i'm mostly concerned that no one would buy it. i mean, i have a credit card, but i still wouldn't probably. if i had to ask my parents for theirs to buy it, then i definitely wouldn't. Hardly anyone would buy this shirt with the following reasons: - it tells people that you have no life - it means you're obbessed with createblog website - you are an active member of this website - createblog is an odd "brand name" - unpopular - people would question it ... - teacher/adults would think you're stupid because cB does seem to be "stupid" when all these lame topics - invades the boundary of REAL LIFE AND INTERNET LIFE. a shirt without "createblog" is SOMETHING you would buy, if it looks tight. |

What if we just design some cool shirts like you said, have a small "createBlog" logo/signature thing somewhere just to rep, and get them made. cB's probably got the creative power to come up with some interesting stuff.
Just start off slow, that's all. |

i don't know anyone would want buy in the name of createblog logo.
Honestly, I assume everyone is ashamed of representing unpopular brand name. You normally don't see people wearing clothes that clearly label "OLD NAVY" on their sweater because it doesn't appeal as much as Hollister or A&F. High brand names are considered socially acceptable and comfortable to represent. Although old navy clothes are cheaper to buy and POPULAR, but people wont buy in the name of it. I have a few shirts from old navy, but I make sure they don't say Old Navy for some odd reasons. I have a sweater that says aeropostale which is acceptable in social outings so i FEEL comfortable showing "aeropostale". does anyone feel me? i just dont represent some ghetto ass logo/brand name. Maybe, it's nice to have it on the tags inside the shirt or... have some sort of removable paper tags that attach to the shirt? As long the clothes doesnt show any "creteblog-ness", i would buy it. if not, i'm so sorrryy. i sound too anal and picky. but i'm speaking from experience ... |

^ Kinda like Aeropastle compared to American Eagle. They both like to put their labels right out there but I prefer to wear AE.
I was actually considering buying one of the cB shirts...if they ever came out with a slim flit one. It'd be cute if they had cB inside jokes on them, haha. |

Yeah.
Many people still wear clothes with big signs. "aeropostale". It still feels "safer"/"comfortable" to wear it by brand because it’s popular. I generally assume most people would buy clothes that don’t label brand names or label popular brand names. |

I'm actually embarrassed to show the Aeropostale logo. If I get clothes from there, I make sure to buy something which has the logo sort of hidden. That's just me though. Not trying to say I have higher standards in clothing.
Oh and it's true. I could easily buy a plain white tee, but if it has like a brand logo I like on it, I'll buy it for like $50, as compare to the same plain white tee with maybe a GAP logo on it for $10. |

Exactly! People would buy clothes by brand or blank. i only have a 2 sweaters from aero because they were on sale |

Aeropostale is crap quality. I had a few things back from junior year of high school, but I've sworn off their clothing because it's crap -- feels like the crap I see at forever 21. Of course I haven't been in an aero store for a year now, so IDK if they upped their quality.
What does the GAP logo on a shirt look like? The blue box with a the white words GAP on it? Anyways, I wouldn't mind wearing a cB shirt if it has something cool on it. But of course, createBlog ain't no threadless, so it will depend on what kind of graphic will be on the shirt and the shirt is of good quality (based on reviews). I ain't 'fraid to represent, na'mean? |
