Anyone been watching the news, They said there was a shooting at Virginia Tech and last I heard on the news 22 people were killed.

What is with VT? Last August there was Morva who fled to the campus after escaping from jail and killing someone and now this??
I was watching the news earlier at like, 11 and there was only one dead and now there's 31? :( :( :( |

I have a friend at VTech, and I got to her through facebook, so I'm feeling so relieved.
She lives in East Ambler Johnston, right beside the dorm where the shootings took place. |

They just released that the gunman committed suicide. This is awful. I can't believe that they didn't shut down the campus after the first shootings at West Ambler Johnston.

My bf's family lives in VA. But I think most of his cousins go to George Mason and not Tech. I think. I hope.

the vt shootings is all cnn will cover with other reports about the death toll in iraq and four deaths in the northeast because of the storm. all in all, a very heartbreaking news day/ my heart and sympathy goes out to the victims and their families. may those who died rest in peace. |

It's really horrible. It's almost hard to believe that it actually happened but it did. I'm absolutely heartbroken by it. It's terrible to think that someone would actually do that. I pray for the victims' families. It's a horrifying and dreadful incident. I give them all my sympathies and prayers.

This is so terrible. Last I heard the number was up to 33 deaths.
I cant believe after the first shooting at 7:00, they didnt bother to properly inform all the students. All they did was send out emails... who the heck checks their email that early in the morning? The school was equipped with emergency alarms, which were never set off. It's almost like they continued classes like it was no big deal. I cant help but to imagine, what if they would have locked down the school properly? The additional 30 deaths could have possibly been prevented. |
