Like, things that really comfort you when you're on your period. Any ideas?

The essential of a "period kit" would have:

+ Pads/tampons (well, duh) + Midol (never used it though) + Heating pad (ditto above) + Non-salty foods (to avoid bloating) + Chocolate |

Chocolate and warm foods are really comforting. You'll crave them.

Heating Pads are nice. I used to take Excedrin for the cramps. And taking a hot bath helped for me, atleast for the cramps, but heating pads are nice as well. Try not to exercise like crazy that week as well, or push your body too hard. |

				1. Calcium Or Tums - if you take enough calcium a day or at least 4 of those Tums it will really help and help decrease some of the symptoms from your period such as bloating, food cravings, and moodiness..

		2. Drink tons of water & stay clear of salt - Salt retains the water in your body which is probably the biggest and main cause of being bloated, water flushes out all the toxins in your body and will make your feel better. Also if your really moody on your period you may want to stay away from the caffeine 3. If your on the go a lot then get those Thermacare heatwraps - I'm sure they'll work wonders 4. Tampons/pads - of course. Suggestion 5. Exercise - Even though its the last thing you would ever want to do at a time like this, it works really well. Exercising helps regulate hormones, decreases stress (nice when your really stressed about school and things ;]), and your body is producing endorphins which naturally put you in a good mood Hope this helps? |

For me, I don't really have a kit...but I would have pads with me, duh. I usually don't have cramps so I don't need pain relievers. Also, I crave even though I am not on my period, so I have to have food with me 24/7. |
