Phooey, would ya'll apply already? Here, I'll get you started!

Name: ai + you/Reili
Programs you have: Photoshop Elements 5/3 (isn't too different if all you're doing is headers and things. Just no pen tool), PSP 9/Animation Shop 3
Experience: Well, there's this little, y'know, "I have a really weird program" problem ... But I'm fully confident in my ability to communicate with a Photoshop user. It's just gonna be a little difficult if you wanna do certain things, 'cause I can't do them. XD Oh, but the experience part! I've been designing for, um, four-ish years? Then the coding part, well, I've been been doing that for about five years. I do try to follow the standards, and I've taken a web designing class ... So I'm pretty qualified in that aspect, I'd say. XD PICK ME! PICK ME!

Programs you have: Adobe Photosop 7.0, Adobe ImageReady, Adobe Studio 8 (I am not that well-endowed in creating nor coding .swf and .fla files. I may need more time to adjust before I begin making flash designs.)
Experience: I have been designing roughly for around 3-4 years now at the longest. I have taught myself over this time, some by trial and error and also by learning from others in the past. I have taken everything I know today and have been making designs since the Summer of 2006. I am very experienced in HTML and CSS however Javascript and PHP are not my strongest at the moment. I do however make alternatives while I am designing, such as creating codes that are similar to Javascript (mouseOver / hover) and replacing them with simple rollovers (Myspace Friendly). I do communicate through instant/personal messaging. Please review my application. thumbsup.gif

Experience I've been designing for roughly 5 years now. I feel that fully competent in both designing and coding xanga (and some blogger/myspace/website, but stronger in xanga). I'm pretty good at explaining photoshop and such to people and it would be a fun experience.

Experience I've been designing such for around 2 years now and coding wise around 3-4 years. I believe I'm pretty capable of helping anyone with a myspace or website design. I've written plenty of photoshop tutorials in the past and feel that I would be good at giving directions to others on how to use photoshop or even coding something. I've taught myself almost everything I know except for some little help from others. So if theres anything I don't know how to do yet I'll be more than happy to learn it and teach someone. I have been on staff before for a while and I know what it takes to help someone and be patient and calm at explaining things throughly as well.

wow thats long pinch.gif

Doesn't seem like anything is ever going to happen with this, so I'm withdrawing, if you guys need someone when this thing actually starts taking off I'll reconsider. (3/17)

Experience I've been designing for about 2 years now. I've consistenly worked with PSP so I know many tips and tricks that only come with experience, and i have shared them (my tutorials). I've designed a layout for everything except blogger, and I have also started more creative arts like digital painting.

also, every link in my sig, since i coded them all (except for DA..)

Experience: I've been designing seriously for about 1 year, but I've been making shit in Photoshop for about 4 years. I'm tired of people thinking splashing a few ink brushes on a picture makes an "awesome" graphic, and I'd like to put and end to that mentality. I love designing, and it's what I like to do in my downtime. I love experimenting with color, I think I have a pretty good eye for color combinations. I can code things for websites; as in I know php and working with stylesheets pretty well; I'm really a stickler on how I think things should look design-wise, and website-wise.

Experience I've been designing for well over two years. I've had a plethora of subdomains and my own domain for a time. I was Myspace Staff and Design Staff on this site.

I'll give a few examples, since I have a varying style...
(rather large) http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/1159/co...eautiful0wn.jpg
(a lot of people use this, I don't know...) http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=924
(people seemed to like this)

(more of a recent thing; I like drawing on my layouts these days...)

I wish I had my layouts from my old subdomains; they're all on old computers...I'm not sure why I still have these, but whatever.

Yes, star applications are still open.. but you have already applied to be a rookie, so you'll have to choose between the two.

:D I'm glad to hear that, since we have many rookies and not enough stars.. I think there was also a little discussion/confusion as to why you applied as a rookie since your layouts and such are amazing. I'll edit your rookie application. (: Except Mona already beat me. XD

Okay guys, lets stick to the topic. From now on out please leave all replies to Applications unless you have a major problem (wanting to switch to a star from a rookie, etc) Also feel free to PM any of the MODs asking questions as well.

Thanks.
