anime.essence Congrats! Congrats to all who participated, but after a lot of disucssion, we decided to eliminate Just_dreamin.  Round Cinq: This next round's theme is "Starring You!" This theme is all about you! You can make a layout of stuff you like, photos of you... your friends, your hobbies! Use all of your creativity! This round we want to see something different than your usual style. Helpful links: www.sxc.hu www.veer.com www.betterphoto.com The deadline for this round will be Friday, Decemeber 8th, 2006, 11:59 PM EST all entries must be PMed to all judges by that date. Please let any of the judges know if you for some reason will not be able to make the deadline. *Feel free to send in with your entry an explanation of the significance of the obejcts/people/photos/themes used in your design! The Final Four: -moorepocket (entry) ---Explanation of Layout: QUOTE Since i started livejournal, i notice how all the people on their have really nice techniques for blends/collages/wallpapers. Compared to my blends their was 10x better. So i began to learn how to create fan-art. This also started my icons making days (i never make an icon before). Fan-art is about my own creativity. I have to kinda make it up as i go along. There are tutorials that help me with it, but that's just the basics. Yeah, well we're down to the "Final Four" and I think we could get a better decision from the whole community. Especially if that new Contest Forum idea goes through.
I haven't discussed it with Jackie yet, but I will as soon as she gets on. |

Here's another reason:
We have 3 mods/ex-mods in this group. Only mods are judging this. I think community vote would be more fair this time. |

Mrrm. Do the layouts have to have several things, or can it be focused on a band or actor/actress? Like, as everyone knows, I'm obsessed with Johnny Depp - would I be able to do that (although I wouldn't do Johnny Depp since I have plenty of layouts of him
 )?

I was a bad/lazy mod, lol. xD I think community vote would be really cool, I just hope people wont base their votes on popularity though because im so inactive. But I still like the idea x.x I think this theme is awesome, but im not sure I can go out of my usual style though, I have so many >< |

Maybe next round we could make the layouts anonoymous. Obviously that wouldn't work this round because it's personal... But would that be good?

 I know the following is clearly biased considering I'm still in the contest, but I personally think that the judges have been pretty fair thus far; I don't think that the fact that there are three mods/ex-mods in the running will be a factor in deciding which is the best Xanga designer.  But I digress.
