Anyone have any reason to reject these backgrounds and such that I've created? I spent like half an hour uploading them, and all but ONE ugly stupid one was accepted.

They all repeat...fine, thats my obsession.

If you want the exact reason why it was rejected pm the person who rejected it. Because I mean all of us can say things but for exact reasons on why that person rejected them pm them.

You get a pm if its rejected or accepted. So whoever the pms from is the person that accepted it or rejected it.

If you submit something to cB, you get a PM from the moderator who reviewed it letting you know if it was accepted or rejected, so that's how you know.

Theoretically you should always get a reason why it was rejected in the rejection letter, but I have no idea if it's actually being done. =\

I can tell you that the ones with the dots were rejected because you have your site name on the bottom of the image... if someone used that as a background and repeated it, your site name would be all over their background.
Why would someone want to use that?

no, its not being done. they just say to try again, and soon the hard work will payoff. which, i think is rediculous, cuz i submitted 4 layouts, and i thought they were good, but they got rejected. i PMed the person who rejected them, and they never responded.

Well that is pretty rediculous. They should at least tell you why so you can improve on your creations. I know they probably get a lot of submissions, but come on. If you're going to run the site, do it properly.

Example of the usual PM from me:

QUOTE
Thanks for your submission! Unfortunately, it was not accepted. Here are a few comments and suggestions that will let you know why it was rejected and what to do next time. _smile.gif

- Could have better image quality, it doesn't look like it was saved properly.
- I'd like it more if it had a border, I really think that'd make a big difference.
- The edges around the font are jagged, and that means it hasn't been anti-aliased. Depending on what image editing program you're using, I know there are plenty of tutorials that will teach you how to do this, so I hope that helps.

Again, thanks for sending in your work and we look forward to seeing your contributions in the future!

Honestly, that didn't take me very long. However, I would like to point out that at this very moment there are over 230 graphics waiting in the queue. It gets pretty grueling after doing like thirty.

Guilt as charged for not writing in resons. Let's put it this way, if I think major improvement is needed I'll put down the reason usually. If it's just low image quality or something, I leave it be because I figure you know what's wrong. You can always reply to the PM and ask for specifics... (If you show me the graphic. I honestly don't remember most things.) Some things aren't even layouts or scripts or whatever. I mostly prune the queue anyways. Like the angel of death. ugh... >.<"

By the way, the first and second are rather... Gaudy. I wouldn't want something like that for my background. ermm.gif The point of a background is to be aethetically enhancing, not eye-catching nessecarily. Usually you want the content to be the focus, not the graphics. -shrug- They seem very detracting. mellow.gif
