just long lost primary school frds?, or does he like me? Options

Sorry for the length ppls..... but i need some opinions coz its been bugging me for a while....


at start of University semester, I bumped into an old primary school frd (lets call him B) at the train station whom i haven't seen in ages. we took the train together every Friday.

i never have seen him online on msn, except on the night before my b'day, he was online at that time & dropped me a msg, the convo then continued....

since he knew I'd be able to go to bars & stuff soon, he said that he'd take me out to a bar & take me home when i get drunk... later in convo he invites me to some sport activity thing which happens every friday night & said that he could give me a lift to & from venue.....

i started to wonder "is it just me or is he being a lil too friendly?! he's supposed to be quiet.... how come he's so chatty?! he's being a lil too friendly...."

talked to my frd (lets call her G) about this, she decided to "observe" him for me since she sees him often.


the 3 of us are primary school frds..... G knows B much more better than I have since B & i lost contact during high school years.........



G told me what made her think B liked me was:

My 18th birthday wasn't long ago..

G & B bought me a birthday present. G went over to B's house to get him to sign card & then walk to my house to give me my present.

After B signed the card, he went upstairs for for 30 minutes. G & B's brother were like "?!?!what on earth is he doing up there?!?!?!" He comes downstairs with his hair gelled up & in a suit!!! both G & B's brother were like

B's younger bro was like "what happened to you?! are u going to a formal party?! hello?! earth to B? are u going to a formal party!"

B said "well..... G dressed up nicely, i thought i should too"

G told me that she was wearing jeans, boots, normal top & a black jacket... its how she always dresses, she didn't wear anything fancy coz I saw what she was wearing too. G thought B going into all that trouble was a dead give away coz he was originally in t-shirt & jeans which looked fine. even his brother thought it was weird....... when G & B went back to B's house, B changed back into his normal clothes & went to wash off the gel in his hair. Just thought it was kind of weird that to drop a present at my house required him to wear a suit & have gelled hair for 10-15 minutes. They didn't expect to come into my house since I'd be going out to dinner soon. And they knew that.


Thats when G told me on msn a day later that she thinks B likes me.... its not the guy she knows..... she saw him go red when i gave him a hug thanking both of them for the present.


Do u guys think its true that he likes me or is he just being nice?!?


I thought that B likes G thats why he came to my front door in a suit with her, but G told me theres no way its possible coz she knows him well enough to know that B doesnt like her, he does nothing this suprising.

that might be the case, but youll never know for sure until you ask him yourself, or if he tells your friend...

wow, im sure he sees something attractive about you... i don't think he would do that if he didn't.


if you want to be in a relationship with him:
get to know him first... wait until yours sure he's being himself. That way you know if you really like him or not... what i like to say to peole in that early stages of a relationsip is that, "You like what you know about him/her, but you don't like HIM/HER." I'm sure that when this stage wears away he will be normal again, and thats when you should consider dating him.

Aparently he sees something he likes. I would find it a little big more than the normal odd out of day for him to just be nice for all of that. Who knows though, get in a conversation with him and just ask him yourself.

I don't even know myself..... I do like him...... but am seriously confused if I like him as a good friend or well....... I actually like him.............

I'll pop up the Q some day later I guess...... or else just continue to pretend I know nothing & see if he drops anymore hints.....
