I just want to know (yes, I'm aware that some might this of a stupid question but I don't care) where people get their images for their layouts. I'm pretty sure that not all people create their own images and I would love to know where to get them. Thanks for any help.

you can MAKE them like you said, or depending on what u want....
u can use images.google.com .... um... yeeeeeeeeeah or u can request one? |

But the thing is..I don't really know -how- to make one..no one really gives an tutorial..and I am a definite beginner and don't really know how to make one.

Personally, you can't teach someone how to create the image for a layout. It's all trial and error, at least for most of us. Use the tutorials section to scope out neat effects to add, check out other tutorial sites for more cool effects. Then go to the BBoR to find textures, fonts, brushes, and the like to add to your layout to pull the theme together.
