How do you feather the edges of images? I`m tryna figure out a tutorial..
this is what it says.
QUOTE
you'll notice that i have my feather set on 89. most people use 40-50. i started off with 50, and if you find it easier, feel free to. it really wont be bad.
so, feather out the edges of your images. make sure you're on the layer of the image you want to feather!!

It says "Selection Type: Mode: Feather:" in PSP.
You just type 89 or whatever into the box under feather and hit enter.

Then you select the portion of the image. It should expand your selection by the amount indicated in the feather box.

Not unless you've got the feather box set to something other than 0. If it's set to zero, it's called selecting.

Yup. Takes a bit of practice to get it correct tho. You have to select a little farther from the actual section you want feathered. Turns out better that way.

Use an eraser brush at 300px with faded edges. But before you do so remember that you need the box after the feather properties checked and that you need to have the layer you're focusing on selected in the layers palette.
Oh, and hit backspace a few times, just one tends to not do it.

to do it like how the tut says, make ur selection tool the same as this pic... http://seizure.ill-wed.com/images/blendingtut6.jpg then go to a layer w/ a picture, zoom out so u have some blank space to work with.. no make a box around one side like in this pic... http://i1.tinypic.com/mh93zo.jpg no it will be in a selection box.. press delete once, and that should do it.. http://i1.tinypic.com/mh94qd.jpg and now arrange ur pics the wat u want them and follow the rest to that other tut

On 89, it's 2 - 4. On 50, it's more like 7 - 10.
But each blend is different and it's really up to you.

Since it's your background layer, double-click on it so that you can have it rasterized. Then, procced to the feathering.
