im sure there are about 50 billion topics on this, but i cant find it and i was wondering if someone could just help me or point me in the right direction.

this is my xanga. www.xanga.com/leave_me_alone457

it is aligned perfectly in ie, but when you go to firefox...the banner is 2 px to the left making it look weird and not lined up.

is there any way to get it to work in firefox as well?

i tried margain-left: 29px!important; but that doesnt work. jordan had posted that in livejournal, but my layout in firefox would have to say 31 px to the left, making it off in ie.

any help?

Uhh..well you spelled "margin" wrong? [Did you do that in your code?] Also, it only works for me if I put the code-bit with !important first, rather than the one without !important. Dunno about anyone else though.

Like the layout, by the way ^_^

i spelled it right in the code...

what exactly did you mean by the !important thing? putting it in front of the 29px?

Ah, like

width:29px!important;
width:31px;

instead of

width:31px;
width:29px!important;

like I think it says in the tutorial post thing.

It usually work better if you define it in CSS. mellow.gif You can do it within the div, but it isn't read as well.
And I think the problem is that the image doesn't match up. mellow.gif A margin of 32 gets the right side to line up, perfectly, but it looks like the image is to big.

I don't think there is a way to fix it.
I had the same problems.

If you view my xanga you'll see that I have like the same problem. In IE the alignment is right however the blog is pushed down. In Firefox the blog is positioned correctly but the alignment is a few pixels off.
