Today we'll be learning how to make french toast rasberry jelly sandwiches.
Here are the ingredients: 12 slices white, wheat or egg bread raspberry or strawberry jelly 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 2 tablespoons butter powdered sugar for sprinkling 1/3 cup sliced almonds fresh berries in season, for decor. Here are the utensils: Knives for spreading Measuring spoons Measuring cup small mixing bowl platter spatula whisk large skillet 1. Spread each slice of bread with jelly. Sprinke almonds on half of the slices. Cover the slices with the remaining bread, making sandwiches. 2. Break the egg into the small mixing bowl. Add the milk and cinnamon. Whisk until smooth. 3. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture. Set dipped sandwiches aside on a platter. 4. Melt the butter in the large skillet over medium low heat. Cook the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Use the spatula to turn and transfer to plates. 5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and scatter berries on top. Serves 6 |
