I didn't realize you could submit recipes shifty.gif

Fried Tacos
sounds disgusting, I know.

What you need:
+ soft flour tortillas: the small variety works much better
+ browned ground beef or taco meat, whatever you would normally use
+ a can of diced potatoes
+ a deep fryer (I think it's called a fry-baby)
+ cooking oil (most people use vegetable oil, my family uses olive oil and cocunut oil because it's healthier)
+ toothpicks
+ later on, all of your usual taco fixings: cheese, lettuce, salsa...

Directions
Heat your oil to normal deep-frying temperature. While the oil is heating, make up your usual taco meat, mixing in a can of diced potatoes. They're optional, but for some reason it's just not as good without them!

Using a spoon, spoon some of the taco mixture into a tortilla and fold in half. Do not over fill because this makes frying miserable. There should be enough while it's folded in half that there's a half inch margin between the edge of the tortilla and the insides. Use two toothpics to hold it closed.

This is where it is useful to have one person stuffing and the other frying. While one person continues to stuff tacos, the other person begins to fry. Carefully drop in one taco at a time, and flip halfway through fry time. When tortilla begins to brown, flip and repeat on the other side. Remove from oil and place upside down on paper towels and allow excess oil to drain.

To eat: take toothpicks out, stuff with cheese, salsa, and whatever you like.

Enjoy!
