what do you tell a friend how cuts themselves for your bestfriend?
i have a friend and he cuts himself cause hes in love wiht my bestfriend and she doestnt really like him. the story is really long. she used to like him and hten she just stopped. and he thought she still did. and she jsut lead him on. and now he know taht she doesnt like him. so he cuts himself. he wants my help but what do i tell him. what do i say? |

seems like a retarded reason to cut urself, not that its logically good in any way to cut urself, but w/e .
Just tell your friend that cutting himself over ur best friend isnt worth it, and if he ignores that,tell him to find another way to release his pain . I.E. punchin a pillow, yoga, exercise.... If he doesnt stop, and it seems like hes able to take his own life, i suggest u tell his parents if they dont already know. |

i was a cutter for about a year. ((im totally clear now!)) talk to ur friend. make a pact with them about trying to get them to stop. but realize that u can not do anything, even if u do get them help they cant make ur friend stop. they have to want to on their own.

remind him that in life things like this are bound to happen again, but the best way to cope with problems is to get out there and have fun because chances are she wasnt the one and she's not worth his bloodshed and tears, so he should get out there and live. plus if he needs anyone to talk to about his problems or situations there are alotta people out there who are willing to listen

ok..i cut and this is how i quit
i told myself that cutting was bad and i shouldnt hurt myself...it is good that they told you and it is one step closer to quitting....also...my friends told me 2 get a rubber band and put it on my arm and snap it whenever i get stressed or write a poem or song..it does really work and it has great results |

O..i forgot in my last post...dont quit being there friends..they obviously need you and they wanted your help...they wouldnt of told u if they didnt want help unless they do it for attention which one of my friends did
so help them every second they need it....cuz if i didnt stop i wouldve killed myself cause i got addicted 2 it and i cut my arm 32 times in one day....so I have 2 thank my friends cause who knows how screwed up i would be rite now...ok..bye |

when my friends were cutting themselves id let them do it but if they seemed like they wanted attention id walk into their room while they were doin it and tell them to stop and if they didnt stop id call them a P***Y cuz they werent cutting deep enough... and if they kept doin it id take their hand with the razor in it and put it to my wrist, and id tell them if your ognna do it do it right and they wouldnt do it so i would take the razor and start to dig it deep as hell into my room sayin that i have less of a reason to live than they do so im goin first... so i guess i basically scared them out of it.
