Try to give him something that involves an inside joke maybe....
Maybe a CD or something like that could work...

I'm not really sure, what are his interests?

I'm not sure this is the best place to put this topic.
I'll move it to Relationships for now.

I just got my boyfriend a big thing of his favorite candy and a gift card for iTunes, because he's been dying to get an iPod and his parents got one for him for his bday, so it was kinda more personal like that. He seemed to really like it. Something like that might work...I dunno it depends on what he likes and what you guys have shared together, we can't really tell you what to get your bf.

kiss him on his cheek and hug him and give him something you made... lol yup, you made like maybe sew a teddy bear and show him your scarred fingers from the needle and hed be happy to see that you worked hard and hurt yourself for him.

i would get some candy, his favorite band's CD, and write a nice birthday card. happy.gif

if you're really stuck on ideas/semi-low on cash, just spending a day with him may be nice. take him out somewhere... you said he was athletic, are there any games going on nearby that you guys could go to?

Eh Start searching around Deary, we've had topics similar that list some things So I think these will help happy.gif

Although first I would say anything that comes from the heart, something that means something to you, should mean something to them.
