I just wanted to "refresh" Javonn's topic that he closed because I still think he was on point with his idea. Actually I wanted to bring it back the day of, but I guess I never got to it.

It was argued that basically we shouldn't be redirecting the fun outside of the cB website itself, but I still don't think it'd be completely useless to do so.

I mean, you can go out and play poker, or 360, or Gunbound, or what have you by yourself, but when you're playing with other cB members, you're essentially bonding with them, or at least interacting with them in some way. Now imagine if we could get a bunch of cB members out doing one of those things.

Also, setting up weekly tourneys for whatever, I think, adds interest to cB as well. I'd imagine that they would work just like any other contest on cB, and hopefully interest people to stop by the forums, just like cBNTM has. People like to talk about what happened, and the results. FB Poker has even done the same. It was started in the chat, played on Facebook, and eventually brought and discussed on the forums.

I'm kind of rambling now 'cause it's late and I'm getting tired. Anyway...



Obviously there's a lot more ways to go about this than Facebook. Let your imagination run wild. Post up your thoughts and suggestions, and then we'll get this ish poppin'.

ay first of all, WHY YOU STILL UP? and second of all, i agree what you just posted..i think. the whole bonding thing and playing games with each other is great. instead of just posting around, you would feel more involved in the community and what not. this is a great idea

But yes, I think it's a good idea for members to be bonding, whether it be through playing games off the boards, or posting more actively here.

cB arcades are probably a lot more important if only we had any control of it!! I remember one time I unintentionally got my entire lit class to sign up for cB because the arcade wasn't blocked like every other game site on school computers, so I could play tetris. Not that any of them ever posted. And holy shit at the fact that that was almost 4 years ago.

Also does CB have a group on facebook? I mean I'm part of art communities and they make facebook groups just so we can talk to the members off of the actual site. I don't think it would be a bad idea, and also I remember a while back Elba and others use to chat on facebook.
