okay. so like, i like some online dude... THATS THE TOTAL WEIRD PART!!! i met him online. in gunz. hes totally awesome.... hes friendly nice.. all that neatass stuff ^^.. hes for real i can tell.. but wouldnt that be weird.... and i really love him.. but i wouldnt tell him that. we say love you but.. i dont know if he really means it. sometimes i wanna tell him stuff.. but then again itsnot like i know him so well... what should i do???

awww thats really sweet, and good for you that you've found someone whos great to chat to. only problem is you can never tell if they're genuine if your just chatting online, having a bit of fun. Personally i wouldnt get too attached, there are loadsa great guys who are much easier to get to know in person and be able to trust. dont break the contact tho, he sounds alright.

It's not that weird 'cause I love this kid in Nebraska that my friend introduced me too, and she met him on Gaia. We've talked on the phone and he has webcam and all that junk. I must admit it's awkward, but oh well. =] I don't tell him a lot of stuff but I do tell me him stuff. Like if I said I tried to kill myself one time [which ISNT true] I would never tell him.

If you mean shouldn't then you're right. You don't actually know the kid so telling him your whole life story would be a waste of time and sorta creepy, hah. :D

Well yeah, this happened to me, too.
I married a guy on Gaia, he was so sweet.
I knew he was real, and very sweet.
Anyways, don't say, "I love you."
Because that might freak him out.
You'll jusr have to wait, or tell him that he's real sweet and stuff.
He might get the picture soon.

It's not really weird to be in love with someone you met online as long as you know what each other looks like...but then again loving someone for their personality is VERY sweet (as long as you don't go obsessive) how about you guys trying to meet each other and date?

i met my boyfriend online...we don't talk online much anymore (moved to phone) but i love him more than anything in the world and...it's good. my ex boyfriend i met online, too. my advice would be...be careful. get to know eachother better and talk on the phone, meet eachother before you start planning long term things. that sort of thing...

Well, it's not really weird, my friend once dated a girl he met playing Maple Story. It really depends on how long you've known each other. I wouldn't really say "I love you" quite yet though. Have you talked with him through AIM, webcammed, talked on the phone, etc? To tell you the truth, I don't think you really love him. How much about him do you know? You say you don't know him that well, so you can't really love him so quickly...
PS- I used to love playing Gunz, haven't played since school started though.

haha i know lots about him. well i guess so. ive seen a pic of him. well one of his old ones. yeah we phoned eachother. talk alot online. etc. ^^. uhh i think i met him in july... lol. gunz is fun ^^...theyre closing beta down on nov.3rd though -_-

Well, like everybody else said, don't get too attached. If you've phoned each other, then I guess you're getting pretty close. But if you ever plan to meet up with him, take someone with you, preferably an adult. I cannot emphasize this enough. No matter how well you may think you know him, it's better to be safe than sorry. Just my two cents.

OMG! I'm in the same situation. I feel the way you do about your guy but everyone keeps telling me that I don't really know him and that I should just stick to people I have met in real life. But the thing is that I talk to him on the phone almost every day and we talk online too! It is just that he lives in another state...

don't trust him too easily, yes of course he might seem for real, it's the internet everyone can do that. webcam him if he has one, so that you won't know he's lying. get to know him better then see where that goes

...too many cases of my friends saying: "oh Kevyn, he's so dreamy and I talk to him on the phone and online everyday, but when we met in person he's totally different."

He can be real and for his word.....but more often times than not, they are just comfortable talking online....because they aren't face to face and eye to eye.

That's a COMPLETELY different dimension if you ask me. I don't really know you...or know you as a person but trusting someone online...and you love him?

That sounds naive and just too good to be true. 90% of the time it is.

Perhaps you'll fall into the category of being in that 10% of women that didn't experience a bad thing when meeting someone from the internet...

But sometimes in your life you just have to take a risk. This might be a good opportunity for you to realize life and romance shouldn't be enclosed in a box sitting on your desk with a bunch of letters on a board.

yeah thats true.... but i met a couple of his frnds and he has a cousin that lives nearby.....so yeah i figured hes trustable ^^.

I think it's cool and also dumb when people fall for people over the internet.

It's cool cos you're falling for the person, not their looks or style or friends or things like that. It's also a unique thing if you guys meet in person and end up married or something.

It's dumb because you may never meet that person. They could be lying to you about who they are. My friend is really overweight, and she only gets boyfriends online. She always treats them like serious relationships, even though she has never ever met the person. Her now ex-boyfriend was gorgeous, but somehow, seeing as how shallow people are, I don't believe that's really who she was dating.

So, it's all up to you. If you wanna try to make things work out, let him know exactly how you feel. Maybe see if you guys could arrange a date offline if locations allow?

how bad.... yes you can trust an internet relationship... though you have to be extra careful in getting on one.. i mean know the person more before you get attach to him/her....

That's nice to hear and all...but aren't you afraid he'll turn out to be like a 57348957349 year old man. You won't know for sure if he loves you for real or not. And it's not safe to meet up with him anywhere. Now, if he goes to your school and you guys talk more online...that's a different story. Don't fall for it, if hes not.

don't say i love you to someone you have never met in real life. he might end up just stalking you or be like a persuasive molester or something.
