Wellllll, I guess it's approaching that time of year again. When's your Homecoming dance? And... are you going? Got a date? Ha, good questions, eh? shifty.gif

Homecoming for my school is on September 17. It's really early this year, but I guess it's just because of the football scheduling. My friend Nick asked me to go with him since he's never been (even though he's been on Homecoming Court the last two years), so we'll be going in a big group with a bunch of friends. Kind of bummed the boyfriend couldn't fly up for it this year, but what can ya do.

Mmmmm. You can post your dresses, if that just tickles your fancy. I don't really that that should be a problem, should it?

Thumbed.

Mine. Except it's dark brown. Matches my eyes, yay. I'm super excited! [:

Edit - You know, now that I think about it, this topic will probably die pretty soon. I don't think anyone's really having their Homecoming until another month from now. Heck, half of you aren't even in school yet... whoops. :X

I'm actually not sure when is ours...but it should be sometime later this month. Or is it next month? Not sure. Anyway, I don't know if I'm going....it depends on if I'm annoyed by the people that are actually going. Harharhar...

Melissa, I can already imagine you in that dress! You'd look so pretty. _smile.gif

Our Homecoming is this Friday. No I am not going, my boyfriend hasn't even mentioned it to me, I don't even think he knows it's coming up. I found out today. All the froshes (freshmen) are clueless. I'll probally just go the game that is the same night, they accounce the queen at halftime!

My homecoming dance is the 16th...I don't have a date yet, just a dance someone promised me...I am going though...and we don't dress up for it, since it's right after a football game.

Julia, it's sometime in October. The one Saturday I don't have a marching competition. You know what, I'll just go check...)October 22. So we've got a long ass way to go

Um, things aren't looking good as far as me going. I don't really want to go enough to go without insentive, and since I don't have any, I probably won't. I haven't been to one yet

Tonight, actually, my mom told me to ask my friends to go as a group, because she was talking to my friend's mom, and apparently his "back up date" is someone his mom doesn't want him to go with. And then she goes on to tell me all my other friends who don't have dates. But I know a lot of them will by October 22, so I shall continue to ignore her

My homecoming is, I THINK Sept. 28, but I don't even know if it is.

I probably will not have a date.

And as my dress, I will probably go with my friends to whatever department store and try on 139423042834 dresses to find whichever one they think looks good on me.

And if I don't have a date, then I'll probably go in a group thing with other friends who don't have dates. Or ask my good guy friend.

OR, not even go at all because I'm not that kind of person to go to dances and such.

Wait, are you supposed to buy like a $100 dollar dress to wear it once?

I don't know.

Nice dress, btw.

Hah, I haven't even started school yet... But homecoming is probably sometime in October. At my school, no one really cares about homecoming (the game, because our football team sucks), and no one really goes to the dance, or dresses up for it. I only went to the game last year because there was a huge deal over it, but I doubt I'll go agian this year.

Nice dress, by the way.

if i can get a willing date and a posse i'd like to crash homecoming with the shirt and jeans crew. (and some audio cables to cut out the DJ and blast so real rock, screw pop and hiphop)

but then again, tickets cost money and no one will do it.

We don't have formal dances or proms. Our school can't afford it. The only dance we had was so pathetic. They just put everyone in the nasty, dusty cafeteria, gave them water from the water fountains and got some cheap DJ to play old music. Me and my friends retreated to the bathroom, talked on our cellphones (against the rules _dry.gif) and then Nathan asked me out .. and now I'm getting off topic again.. sad.gif

I'm in college, so we don't have Homecoming dances. We do celebrate Homecoming, though. All the frats and sororities build big floats and we have a parade downtown. Then we all go get totally and completely smashed and hook up with some random member of the opposite sex. It's a lot of fun.

I think that my homecoming is September 30th or somewhere around there. I didn't go to homecoming last year and it ended up being the most attended dance in my school's history (go figure). I'm definitley going this year, though because it's my senior year. I don't have a dress or anything picked out yet. I guess I should get on that pretty soon.

my school doesnt have a homecoming.
we have a spirit day, called monarch day [ our school mascot]

its basically homecoming for us. the classes build floats & wear the colors and it gets pretty crazy.
