The knowledge that we gain is gradually being put to use for the most stupid things ever.

If our society is plunging the way it is, how will our kids be? One can only imagine at this point, but I have a safe prediction by evidence of just the first page of this forum. They aren't going to be the brightest people.

Where are we going in this society? Honestly. GTA: SA was rated AO. AO! I have read that you can literally have sex in that game. It isn't just the teenagers these days that inhibit insane amounts of stupidity, it is also adults. When will the world start realizing that we're going down this hill that we thought was grass has now turned into pure ice? I sincerely doubt we ever will. Considering that softcore pornography is on our family network commercials, I don't see us coming to a subtle realization anytime soon.

I think for all of us that are becoming aware of this but feel that there is no hope for the world have become cynical. I, myself, have felt rather angsty towards some one who posts something completely unrelated to the topic.

IE: What is your favorite candy?

Drugs.

Honestly. _dry.gif

All you mentioned about stupidity is society's view in sex. Loving something does not mean it is stupid. Maybe it is your own opinion that it is stupid, but there are many things far more stupid than pornography, drugs, etc.

Some people choose to take drugs because they want to get that feeling, or they want to escape reality. I'm not saying that is smart, but you can hardly call it stupid.

You have never thought that technology improved these past fifty years more than America's whole history put together.

You have never thought that there are people smarter than people that were smart a century ago.

You have never seen the little inventions we have made around the world.

There are little things you wouldn't notice, and there's the big picture that's right in front of you.

Stop being so grim and look at the bright side for a moment. It's not as bad as you think.

True..true...
Seriously, it's not that bad as you make it out to be. You're looking at all these little flaws, but there is a bigger picture. We've made a lot of prgress.

^hhahhaahaha....i agree...

Kids aren't stupid these days, we are learning at a faster rate.  Things I am learning right now, my sister just learned a year ago.

No one is stupid, everyone is smart in some sort of way.

This is just YOUR opinion. You don't see the things going on around here, it just seems like normal small things to you.  Technology has improved a lot, I guess you just don't realize this.

let's act smart so we can complain about how others are stupid, right?

you're critisizing other people's topics. saying they (or we) are stupid for creating them. if you were so smart, then the grammar in your post should be all correct. check your tenses.
