im going into 8th. did everyone have a bra by then??
im not sure if this topic was already made because i couldnt search. the keyword was too short....  YEAH. so anyways, i only wear camis right now, and im not sure when everyone got their bras. am i late?? im pretty sure i need one.. and im kinda afraid to ask my mom. what would i say to her? hey mom, i need some bras... i cant go get htem myself, heck im in 8th grade!! what do i say? im kind of embarassed. |

Why can't you ask your mom? Just say, "Hey mom, are you free this Saturday? I think it's time i got a bra." She won't laugh at that, will she?
But if you don't need the full support of a bra yet, a padded cami should be all you need. Yes, you're a little late, but every body has its own speed. Don't worry about it. |

I got my first bra when I was 13.
Actually, it was my Mom who suggested that I should start wearing bras cuz my boobs were beginning to show. So she went out one day, bought these half training half real bras and told me to start wearing them. As for asking your Mom for one...maybe you should talk to her about it? Or you could just slip her a note... |

i got my training bra last year (7th) and i got my first real bra this year (8th). that's about the normal age. maybe you should start with training bras first, if your breasts aren't that 'prominent' yet

I'm going into 9th grade and I'm still using those little old navy bras for under-developed little children :D YAEYZ!
I really should be getting a real bra right now, but I don't bother since i'm still pretty flat |

don't feel embarassed. people grow at their own rates...just talk to your mom or go buy some yourself, you're not too young to buy some on your own. don't worry about it.

I know a girl who's going into her junior year and doesn't wear bras because she's completely flat. She's one of those super-tiny asian girls.
Most girls start growing around 6th grade, I think (at least, the girls my age did...) but I didn't start wearing a bra until 8th grade either, because I didnt' start growing until then. If you don't need it, don't sweat. If you do, you should definently get one, because......well, it's a little disturbing to see young girls walking around unsupported. |

i started to wear a bra in 5th grade cause i once wore a partly see-through shirt, and she just told me that i should wear a bra, just tell your mom that you think you need one, and everyone wears one now
