in this tutorial you will learn how to make something like this:
1. so, open up psp, and choose a 400 x 400 canvas with a white background. make sure your foreground color is white and ur background is black.
2. choose the rectangle tool, which is between the text tool and the pen tool. set it to the square option. put the squares in random places, trying to make it sort of look like this
3. now go to Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur and set it to 49%. do this 3 times. it should look a little clumpy, like this:

4. duplicate the layer. now to go Effects - Distortion Effects - Twirl, and set it on any number. id use something over 200...i think i used 264.

5. on the duplicate layer go to Effects - Distortion Effects - Twirl, and set it on the negative of the original. so...i used -264. understand? good. set the blending mode on this layer to Lighten.

6. merge the layers...add some color, text, effects. feel free to experiment. thats how i do these. see, you can do abstract stuff with psp!
