Ever wonder how some people make images that have the main object in colour, but the rest in grey? Well if you have, this tutorial will help you figure out how to do that yourself.

Open up photoshop and select your image. This image must be in colour however.

Now copy this image (RIGHT CLICK >> SELECT ALL >> EDIT >> COPY or CTRL + A >> CTRL + C). After you copied this image, open a new document (FILE >> NEW or CTRL + N) and paste your image there (EDIT >> PASTE or CTRL + V)

Take one of these images and covert them into greyscale (IMAGE >> MODE >> GREYSCALE)

Cut (RIGHT CLICK >> SELECT ALL >> EDIT >> CUT or CTRL + A >> CTRL + X) and paste (EDIT >> PASTE or CTRL + V) the grey image on top of the coloured image.

Now select your eraser and erase everything that you want to be in colour.

Merge layers (LAYER >> MERGE DOWN or CTRL + E) and save (FILE >> SAVE or CTRL + S)
